Rapid changes in every aspect of social life also force organizations to change. Especially, since 1980 the developments in management studies have brought up the concept of“ organizational culture', and this concept has become a subject of academic research. Organizational culture is the values, beliefs, and norms that are shared by members of an organization. It is what guides the behavior of employees and helps differentiate one organization from another. Organizations, often, need to hire new employees. New employees go under extensive introduction period to learn the values, beliefs and norms of the organization. This process is also referred ”getting socialized in organizational context". This process heavily effects the productivity and the motivation of employees. Educational organizations, mainly the schools, as in the case of every organization, train new teachers in terms of adjusting them to their new job, environment, values and beliefs. Thus new teachers become effective members of educational organizations. However the interaction between the organization and the teacher also effects the organization in the same way that teacher is affected by the organization to some extent. This interaction is a lifelong cycle. Occasionally a conflict may arise between the teacher and the organization. To minimize the scale of this conflict, values of educational organizations should be analyzed. At the same time the relationship between values and goals should be investigated. This surely helps to minimize the conflict between educational organizations and the teachers. This thesis tries to explore the relationship between values of organizations and teachers. To provide data a puentionnarie was developed. 19 of 98 and managed by the survey technipue elementary schools from Çankaya region were randomly selected to conduct the survey. 304 Teachers filled out questionnaire. Data obtained from the survey was analyzed in computer environment by using SPSS software, a statistical for computer program. Findings are located in relevant tables and then commented 104
