Özet
Bu çalışmada 1738-1739 Avusturya Seferi'nde Tekirdağ ve limanının Osmanlı sefer organizasyonu içerisindeki yeri ve işlevi detaylı bir şekilde ele alınmaktadır. Osmanlı sefer organizasyonunda şehir ve kazaların yeri konusunda yeterli çalışma yoktur. Bu nedenle bu çalışma Tekirdağ yerelinde bir şehrin sefere katkılarını çalışmayı hedeflemektedir. İlk olarak kazanın Osmanlı öncesi ve sonrasındaki tarihsel süreci ve Osmanlı Devleti coğrafyasındaki jeopolitik konumu incelenmiştir. Daha sonra evvela 18. yüzyılda sefer organizasyonu içerisinde iaşe te'mini hususu genel hatlarıyla ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Ardından, Tekirdağ kazasının iaşe te'mini sistemi içerisinde üstlenmiş olduğu görev ile bu görevin nasıl ve ne kadar yerine getirebildiği incelenmiştir. Bölümün ikinci kısmında, Tekirdağ kazasının ulaşım açısından ve Rodoscuk limanının bir üs olması bakımından arz ettiği önem ortaya konulmuştur. Bu şekilde batıya yapılan seferlerde Tekirdağ kazasının ve limanının sefer organizasyonu içerisinde arz ettiği önem ve üstlendiği işlevler detaylı bir şekilde ilk kez ele alınıp incelenmiş olmaktadır.

This study examines in detail the place and function of Tekirdağ and its port within the Ottoman campaign organization during the Austrian Campaign of 1738-1739. There is insufficient research on the place of cities and districts in the Ottoman campaign organization. Therefore, this study aims to examine the contributions of a city in the Tekirdağ region to the campaign. First, the historical process of the district before and after the Ottoman period and its geopolitical position in the Ottoman Empire are examined. Then, the issue of food supply within the campaign organization in the 18th century is outlined in general terms. Subsequently, the role of the Tekirdağ district in the food supply system and how and to what extent it was able to fulfill this role are examined. In the second part of the chapter, the importance of the Tekirdağ district in terms of transportation and the role of the Rodoscuk port as a base were highlighted. In this way, the importance and functions of the Tekirdağ district and its port within the campaign organization during campaigns to the west were examined in detail for the first time.
