Özet
Destanlar, toplumların kahramanlıklarını, sevinçlerini, üzüntülerini nesilden nesile aktararak geleceğe yön veren sözlü edebiyat ürünlerin en temel anlatılarındandır. Bundan hareketle, bir toplumun yaşantısında önemli bir yere sahip olan maddi kültür unsurları da halkın yaratmış olduğu sözlü ve yazılı ürünlerde kendini göstermektedir.“Başkurt Destanlarında Maddi Kültür Unsurları”adlı bu çalışma, Başkurt destan metinlerinin içerisinde yer alan maddi kültür unsurlarının tespit edilmesiyle toplumun yaşayış tarzını, kullanılan eşyaların ve yapıların toplum üzerindeki etkisini ele almaktadır. Toplam 80 destan metninin incelendiği çalışmada, öncelikle ciltler üzerinden inceleme yapılmış, her bir ciltte yer alan maddi kültür unsurlarına göre 17 başlık oluşturulmuştur. Ardından bu başlıklar, sınıflandırılan unsurlar doğrultusunda tablo haline getirilmiş; tablolarda konularla ilgili unsurların bulunduğu sayfa numaraları ve frekans bilgilerine de yer verilmiştir. Tespit edilen maddi kültür unsurları, taşıdığı anlam itibariyle sınıflandırılmıştır. Bu çalışmada; Ahmet Suleymanov, Gaynislam İbrahimov ve Metin Ergun tarafından Başkurtça metinleriyle ve Türkiye Türkçesi çevirileriyle birlikte yayımlanmış olan toplam 80 destan ele alınarak, toplumda yer edinmiş eşya ve unsurlar hakkında bilgi verilerek toplumdaki görevleri açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Dokümanların incelenmeleri sonucunda oluşturulan bu tez, toplumun barınma, giyim ve yemek gibi gündelik yaşantısından, inançlarından, tarihî ve kültürel gelişiminden izler taşımaktadır. Bu çalışma ile maddi kültür unsurlarından hareketle, Başkurtların destan metinlerindeki yaşantısını inceleyerek eşyaların toplum hayatındaki yerini göstermek amaçlanmaktadır.

Epics are one of the most basic narratives of oral literature products that give direction to the future by transferring the heroism, joys and sorrows of societies from generation to generation. From this point of view, the elements of material culture, which have an important place in the life of a society, also manifest themselves in the oral and written products created by the people. This study titled 'Material Culture Elements in Bashkir Epics' deals with the way of life of the society, the effect of the objects and structures used on the society by determining the material culture elements in the Bashkir epic texts. In the study, in which a total of 80 epic texts were analysed, firstly, an analysis was made over the volumes, and 17 headings were created according to the material culture elements in each volume. Then, these headings were turned into tables in line with the classified elements; page numbers and frequency information about the elements related to the subjects were also included in the tables. The identified material culture elements were categorised according to their meaning. In this study, a total of 80 epics published by Ahmet Suleymanov, Gaynislam Ibrahimov and Metin Ergun with their Bashkir texts and Turkish translations were analysed and their duties in the society were tried to be explained by giving information about the objects and elements that have a place in the society. This thesis, which was created as a result of the examination of the documents, bears traces of the daily life of the society such as housing, clothing and food, beliefs, historical and cultural development. With this study, it is aimed to show the place of objects in the life of the society by analysing the life of the Bashkirs in the epic texts with the elements of material culture.
