Özet
ÖZET Doktora Tezi İşveren ve Öğrenci Beklentileri Bağlamında Lojistik Eğitiminde Yeni Yaklaşımlar ARTUN TOMATIR Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü Denizcilik İşletmeleri Yönetimi Anabilim Dalı Denizcilik İşletmeleri Yönetimi Programı Önceki araştırmalar lojistik eğitiminde sınıfta öğretilen becerilerin gerçek hayata aktarılmasında zorluk gözlemlemişlerdir. Bu çalışmanın amacı üç adımda ifade edilebilir. Çalışmada ilk olarak giriş seviyesi deniz ihracat operasyonu iş tanımlarında yer alan, bir çalışanın günlük rutininde gerçekleştirilmesi gereken görevler incelenmektedir. İkinci olarak belirlenen görevlere göre oyunlaştırılmış bir eğitimin tasarlanması hedeflenmektedir. Üçüncü aşamada ise tasarlanan eğitimin öğrenci başarısı ve memnuniyeti üzerine etkisinin ölçülmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu çalışmada deniz ihracat operasyon personelinin günlük olarak gerçekleştirmesi gereken görevler için içerik analizi yapılmıştır. İçerik analizinde iş ilanları veri kaynaklarını oluşturmaktadır. Tasarlanan eğitimin öğrenci başarısına etkisini test etmek için tek grup öntest sontest desen kullanılmıştır. Tek grup öntest sontest desende LMS' ten elde edilen test sonuçları veri kaynağını oluşturmaktadır. Tasarlanan eğitimin öğrenci memnuniyeti üzerine etkisini test etmek için anket çalışması yapılmıştır. Öğrencilerin öntest ve sontest sonuçları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark bulunmaktadır (n=12, p<0.01; n=28, p<0.01). Yöntemin katılım ve motivasyon, gerçekçilik, etkinlik boyutunun öğrenci memnuniyeti üzerinde etkili olduğu bulunmuştur. İçerik analizi işverenlerin iletişim becerileri ve ekip çalışması gibi beceriler beklediğini göstermektedir. Bu bulgu literatürle tutarlıdır. Pazar odaklılık literatüründe araştırmacılar eğitimin öğrenci ve işveren ihtiyaçlarını karşılaması gerektiğini belirtmiştir. Bir yöntemin etkinliği pazar odaklılık literatüründe de tartışılmaktadır. İşverenler öğrencilerden dil becerilerini beklemektedir ve bu beklenti farklı birimler arasında iş birliği gerektirmektedir. Literatürde de öğrencilerin öğrendikleri becerileri gerçek hayatta nasıl kullanacaklarına dair ifadelere rastlanmaktadır. Bu nedenle bu çalışmada teori-pratik arasındaki ayrımın pazar odaklılık açısından ele alınması önerilmektedir.

ABSTRACT Doctoral Thesis Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) New Approaches in Logistics Education Through Expectations of Employers and Students Artun TOMATIR Dokuz Eylül University Graduate School of Social Sciences Department of Maritime Business Administration Maritime Business Administration Program Previous studies have observed difficulties in transferring the skills taught in the classroom to real-life situations in logistics education. The aim of this study can be expressed in three steps. First, the study examines the tasks that an employee must perform in their daily routine, as outlined in entry-level maritime export operation job descriptions. Second, the aim is to design a gamified training program based on the identified tasks. The third step aims to measure the impact of the designed training on student success and satisfaction. This study conducted a content analysis of the tasks that maritime export operations personnel must perform daily. Job advertisements constitute the data sources for the content analysis. A single-group pretest-posttest design was used to test the impact of the designed training on student success. Test results obtained from the LMS form the data source in the single-group pretest-posttest design. A survey was conducted to test the effect of the designed training on student satisfaction. There is a statistically significant difference between the students' pretest and posttest results (n=12, p<0.01; n=28, p<0.01). The method was found to be effective on student satisfaction in terms of engagement, authenticity, and effectiveness. Content analysis shows that employers expect skills such as communication skills and teamwork. This finding is consistent with the literature. In the market-oriented literature, researchers have emphasized that education must meet the needs of both students and employers. The effectiveness of a method is also discussed in the market-orientation literature. Employers expect students to have language skills, and this expectation requires cooperation between different units. The literature also contains statements about how students will use the skills they learn in real life. Therefore, this study suggests addressing the theory-practice gap from a market-orientation perspective.
