Özet
Bu tez beş bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölüm, giriş kısmına ayrılmıştır. İkinci bölümde, temel tanım ve teoremler verilmiştir. Reel kuaterniyonlara ait temel tanım, teorem ve kavramlara yer verilmiş ve bunların cebirsel özelliklerinden bahsedilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde, bu çalışmanın temelini oluşturan split kuaterniyonlar ile ilgili temel tanım, teorem ve kavramlara yer verilmiştir. Ayrıca bu kısımda, split kuaterniyonların cebirsel özelliklerine yer verilmiştir. Dördüncü bölüm çalışmanın orijinal kısmıdır. Split kuaterniyonların Hamilton operatörleriyle ilişkisi araştırılmış ve özellikleri verilmiştir. Son olarak, örnekler verilerek teori desteklenmiştir. Beşinci bölüm ise, sonuç ve öneriler kısmına ayrılmıştır

This thesis consists of five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction part. In the second chapter, basic definitions and theorems are given. Basic definitions, theorems and concepts of real quaternions are given and their algebraic properties are mentioned. In the third chapter, the basic definitions, theorems and concepts of split quaternions, which form the basis of this study, are given. Also in this part, algebraic properties of split quaternions are given. The fourth section constitutes the original part of this thesis. The relation of split quaternions with Hamilton operators is investigated and their properties are given. Finally, the theory is supported by giving examples. The fifth chapter is devoted to conclusions and recommendations.
