Özet
Doku heykel yapısını oluşturan temel plastik elemanlardan biri olarak modernizm sonrasında sanatçı tarafından bilinçli olarak kullanılmaya başlanmış gelişen teknoloji ve malzemeler aracılığıyla bir biçim dilinden ifade diline dönüşmüştür. Bu çalışmada heykel sanatında dokunun görsel ve dokunsal perspektif içerisinde nasıl şekillendiği, heykel yüzeyinde oluşturulan dokuların sanatçının ifade biçimi olarak nasıl ele alındığı konuları temel araştırma konumuzu oluşturmaktadır. Heykel üzerinde oluşturulan dokular algı felsefesi üzerinden değerlendirilerek haptik bağlamda sunulmaya çalışılmıştır. Aynı zamanda heykel sanatçısının yüzey üzerinde oluşturduğu doku manipülasyonları, malzeme ve form kapsamında örneklerle araştırılmıştır. Sanatçının doku üzerinde kontrolü olmalı mı, üretim sürecinin izleri yüzey üzerinden okunabilir mi, heykel dokusunun gestalt ilişkisi nasıl yorumlanmalı gibi sorular metin içerisinde cevaplanmaya ve heykel dokusu konusuna derin bir yaklaşım sunulmaya çalışılmıştır.. Metnin son bölümü kişisel çalışmalarımdan oluşmaktadır. Kişisel olarak doku meselesine yaklaşımım çalışmalarım üzerinden anlatılmaktadır. Çalışmalarım üzerinde bilinçli bıraktığım izler ve oluşturduğum dokular, izleyiciyle heykel üzerinde dokunsal bir bağ kurarken aynı zamanda üretim sürecine dair de ipuçları vermektedir.

Texture, as one of the fundamental plastic elements constituting the structure of sculpture, has been consciously used by artists since the post-modern era, transforming from a formal language to an expressive language through developing technologies and materials. This study focuses on how texture is shaped within visual and tactile perspectives in sculpture, and how textures created on the sculpture surface are treated as a form of expression by the artist. Textures created on sculptures are evaluated through the philosophy of perception and presented within a haptic context. Simultaneously, the texture manipulations created by the sculptor on the surface are investigated with examples within the context of material and form. Questions such as whether the artist should have control over texture, whether the traces of the production process can be read from the surface, and how the gestalt relationship of sculpture texture should be interpreted are addressed within the text, offering a deep approach to the subject of sculptural texture. The final section of the text consists of my personal works. My personal approach to the issue of texture is explained through my works. The traces I consciously leave on my works and the textures I create establish a tactile connection with the viewer on the sculpture while also providing clues about the production process.
