Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı sesin insan algısına olan etkisini zaman ve mekân olarak inceleyerek“İstanbul”üzerinden örnek bir çalışma ile aktarılmasıdır. Çalışmada karma yöntem kullanılmıştır. Yapılan çalışmada; duyguları, insanın benliğini, düşüncelerini ses ve müzik üzerinden aktarmak, ifade etmek, açıklamak ve bütün bunları mekân ve zaman bağlamında incelemek amaçlanmıştır. Mekân olarak İstanbul; zaman olarak ise 2009- 2019 yılları arasındaki 10 yılın her bir senesi, bir mekân ile eşlenerek literatürün, oto-etnografik yöntemin imkanlarıyla ve üzerinde çalışılan ses çalışması ile anlatılmıştır. Eşlenen mekanlar, kişisel tarihim ile bağlantı içermekte ve seçilen müzikler de o mekanlardan izler taşımaktadır. Kodlamalar ve kodların anımsanıp açığa çıkma sürecini ses ile, sesin etkisi ise psikoloji disiplinleriyle açıklamaya çalışılmıştır. İnsan bilinci ve belleğinin geçmişten bu yana işleyişi üzerinde durulup, konu ile ilişkilendirilmiştir. Seslerin, çalgıların, müziğin teknik imkanlarının insanın ifade ve anlatma halindeki durumunda ne kadar önemli ve etkileyici bir yapısı olduğu sorgulanmıştır. Sorguladıktan sonra mekanlar belirlenmiştir. Mekanların görselleşmesinin“hatırlatma”hususunda önemi olduğunu düşünerek mekanlar üzerinde fotoğraflama çalışması yapılmıştır. Ardından mekân- yıl- referans müzik eşlemesine gidilmiştir. Bu eşlemeleri yaparken mekân- yıl ile özdeşleşmiş ve iz bırakmış müzikleri seçmeye özen gösterilmiştir. Bu eşleme ile birlikte bazı duygular belirleyerek, tekrardan bir yaratım sürecine girilmiştir. Aynı teknik ile, mekanlara, yıllara ve duygulara yeni müzikler üretmeye çalışılmıştır. Kullanılan yöntem ve teknik, bir yandan kendi deneyimlerime, tecrübelerime ve keşiflerime odaklanmamı, diğer yandan ise özgün ve kişisellik taşıyan bir arayışa girmeme olanak sağlamıştır. Ses ve müziğin zaman / mekân olarak eşlenmesinin bilinç ve kişisel deneyimler üzerinden çözümlendiği bu çalışma, işitsel yol ile hikâye anlatmayı, iletişim kurmayı hedeflemektedir. Tüm bunların yanında, sinema/dizi/animasyon/çizgi film ve bunun gibi görsel tabanlı alanlara müzik üretimi ve kullanımı hakkında da bir örnek ve öneri getirmektedir.

The aim of this study is to analyze the effect of sound on human perception through time and space and to convey it by a sample study on“Istanbul”. The mixed method was used in the study. The aim of the study is to convey, express and explain emotions, human self and thoughts through sound and music and examine all these in the context of space and time. Istanbul as a place; and each year of the 10 years between 2009 and 2019 is mapped to a space and explained with the possibilities of literature, auto-ethnographic method and the sound study studied. The mapped spaces are linked with my personal history, and the selected music carries traces from those spaces. It is attempted to explain the coding and the process of remembering and revealing codes through sound and to explain the effect of sound with psychological disciplines. Human consciousness and the functioning of memory from past has been emphasized and related to the subject. How important and impressive is the structure of the technical possibilities of sounds, instruments and music for the state of human expression and narration was examined. The spaces were determined following this examination. Considering that visualization of spaces is important for“recall”, a photo elicitation of spaces was conducted. Then, a „matching of space-year-reference music" was carried out. While making these matches, it has been paid attention to select the music that was identified with those spaces and which has left an impression as well. Along with this matching process, some emotions were determined and another turn of the creation process was taken. Producing new music for spaces, years and emotions were attempted with the same technique. The method and technique used allowed me to focus on my own experiences, knowledge and discoveries on the one hand, and on the other hand, to engage in an authentic and personal quest. This study, in which the mapping of sound and music with time / space is analyzed through consciousness and personal experiences, aims to tell stories and communicate through an auditory way. In addition to all these, it provides an example and suggestion about the production and use of music in visual based fields such as cinema / tv series /computarized animation / cartoon etc.
