Normalize Edilmiş Bitki Örtüsü Fark İndeksi (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index-NDVI), Yeşil Bant Normalize edilmiş Bitki Örtüsü Fark İndeksi (Green Normalized Difference Vegetation Index-GNDVI), Normalize Edilmiş Kırmızı Kenar Bitki İndeksi (Normalized Difference Red Edge Index-NDRE), Toprak Etkisi Düzeltilmiş Bitki Örtüsü İndeksi (Soil Adjusted Vegetation Index-SAVI), Geliştirilmiş Bitki Örtüsü İndeksi (Enhanced Vegetation Index-EVI) ve Patates Verimlilik İndeksi (Potato Productivity Index-PPI) indeksleri üretilmiştir. 2026, x + 49 sayfa
Özet (Çeviri)
In this thesis, due to the increasing population, climate change, food security, and the importance of agricultural production becoming one of the most critical issues of today, remote sensing-based approaches for monitoring agricultural production, planning according to plant needs, and predicting yields play a critical role in implementing sustainable agricultural practices. In this study, the potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) plant, one of the agricultural products that is important for human consumption and industrial use worldwide, was selected as the study product. Therefore, in potato-cultivated agricultural fields located in the village of Taşoluk, Sinanpaşa district, Afyonkarahisar province, the aim is to examine plant development over time using plant indices generated from Sentinel-2 satellite images, determine the relationships between time series and actual yield values, and create usable yield models. Within the scope of the study, 37 Sentinel-2 satellite images for 2024 and 56 for 2025 were obtained using local observation data and the Google Earth Engine platform for the 2024 and 2025 potato production seasons. The Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), Green Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (GNDVI), Normalized Difference Red Edge Index (NDRE), Soil Adjusted Vegetation Index (SAVI), Enhanced Vegetation Index (EVI), and Potato Productivity Index (PPI) indices were produced. Correlation analyses were performed between the estimated indices and ground truth (actual yield value). The findings revealed that correlation values changed depending on phenological stages and increased during ABSTRACT (continued) periods of intense vegetative growth. In 2024, the best correlation was observed in the shoot development phenological stage with r = 0.59 in the PPI index, while in 2025, a correlation relationship was observed with r = 0.81 in the EVI index. When the data for 2024 and 2025 were examined together, r = 0.71 was observed in NDVI Stage 3. Linear regression and Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) models were created to predict pre-harvest yield by finding the relationships between plant indices and actual yield through correlation analysis. The models were trained using time series created according to phenological stages of NDVI, GNDVI, and NDRE indices. The linear regression resulted in R² = 0.78 for the NDRE shoot development stage, and the CNN modeling resulted in R² = 0.80 for the NDRE shoot development stage, indicating that the models can represent yield. 2026, x + 49 pages
