Özet
Bu çalışma Niğde ilinde sağlık kuruluşlarına kene tutunması şikayeti ile başvuran hastalardan toplanan kenelerin türlerini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bu kapsamda, 2024 Mayıs-Ekim tarihleri arasında 76 hastadan (26'sı kadın 50'si erkek) 76 adet kene toplanmıştır. Hastaların 24'ü 0-20 yaş aralığında, 19'u 21-40 yaş aralığında, 23'ü 41-60 yaş aralığında ve 10'u 61 yaş üzerinde olup %13.2'si hayvancılık yaptığı ve %86.8'inin hayvancılıkla uğraşmadığı saptanmıştır. Hastaların cinsiyeti ve hayvancılıkla uğraşma durumu ile kene tutunması istatistiksel olarak önemli iken (p<0.05) hastaların yaşları önemsiz olarak belirlenmiştir (p>0.05). Hastalardan toplanan tüm kenelerin morfolojik özellikleri dikkate alınarak stereomikroskop altında tür identifikasyonları yapılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda, 76 kenenin %32.90'ı dişi (25♀), %55.26'sı erkek (42♂), %7.90'ı nimf (6) olarak tespit edilirken %3.94'ü hastadan çıkarma esnasında deforme (3) olduğundan teşhis edilememiştir. İdentifikasyonu yapılan kenelerin %34.2'si Hyalomma a.anatolicum, %19.7'si Hy. a. excavatum, %6.6'sı Hy. marginatum, %5.3'ü Hy. detritum, %1.3'ü Hy. aegyptium, %10.5'i Hyalomma sp., %9.2'si Rhipicephalus bursa, %5.3'ü Rh. turanicus, %2.7'si Rh. sanguineus ve %1.3'ü Haemaphysalis parva olarak teşhis edilmiştir. Keneler hastaların vücudunun üzerinde tüm bölgelerden toplanmış olup en çok uyluk ve bacak (%25) en az ise göz kapağında (%1.31) saptanmıştır. Haziran (%42.1) ve Temmuz aylarında (%31.6) en fazla kene tutulumunun olduğu görülmüştür. Sonuç olarak Niğde yöresinde kene tutunma şikayeti olan insanlarda ilk kez bu çalışma ile 76 kene toplanmış ve bunların 59'u Hyalomma, 13'ü Rhipicephalus ve 1'i de Haemaphysalis cinsine ait olarak identifiye edilmiştir.

This study was carried out to determine the species of ticks collected from patients who presented to healthcare facilities in Niğde province with complaints of tick bites. For this purpose, 76 ticks were collected from 76 patients (26 female and 50 male) between May and October 2024. Twenty-four of the patients were aged 0-20, 19 were aged 21-40, 23 were aged 41-60, and 10 were over 61 years old. It was determined that 13.2% were involved in animal husbandry and 86.8% were not involved in animal husbandry. Patients' gender and involvement in animal husbandry were statistically significant in relation to tick attachment (p<0.05), while patients' age was found to be insignificant (p>0.05). All ticks collected from the patients were identified under a stereomicroscope based on their morphological characteristics. As a result of the study, 32.90% of the 76 ticks were female (25♀), 55.26% were male (42♂), and 7.90% were nymphs (6), while 3.94% could not be identified due to deformation (3) during removal from the patient. Of the ticks identified, 34.2% were Hyalomma a.anatolicum, 19.7% were Hy. a. excavatum, 6.6% were Hy. marginatum, 5.3% were Hy. detritum, 1.3% were Hy. aegyptium, 10.5% were Hyalomma sp., 9.2% were Rhipicephalus bursa, 5.3% were Rh. turanicus, 2.7% were Rh. sanguineus, and 1.3% were Haemaphysalis parva. Ticks were collected from all areas of the patients'bodies, with the highest number found on the thighs and legs (25%) and the lowest on the eyelids (1.31%). The highest tick infestation was observed in June (42.1%) and July (31.6%). In conclusion, this study collected 76 ticks for the first time from humans with tick bites in the Niğde province, and 59 of these were identified as belonging to the Hyalomma genus, 13 to the Rhipicephalus genus, and 1 to the Haemaphysalis genus.
