Özet
ÖZET Türkiye'de Otomotiv Sektörü Ve Borsa İstanbul'da İşlem Gören Otomotiv İşletmelerinin Performans Analizi Otomotiv sektörü sanayileşmenin gelişmiş olduğu tüm ülkelerde ekonominin öncü sektörü olarak görülmektedir. Demir- çelik, petro- kimya, cam, plastik, yazılım, tekstil ve elektronik gibi birçok sektör ile bağlantısı olan otomotiv sektörü; tarım, turizm, savunma, ulaştırma, altyapı ve inşaat sektörlerinin gelişmesinde de doğrudan ve dolaylı olarak etkilidir. Türkiye otomotiv sanayisinin kat ettiği yol, devleşen bir yan sanayinin de ortaya çıkmasına zemin hazırlamıştır. Türkiye'de otomotiv yan sanayi, otomotiv sanayisindeki gelişmelerin sonucunda hızla gelişmektedir. Küresel otomotiv sektörü; teknolojideki ilerleme, müşteri ilişkilerinde ortaya çıkan değişim, fosil yakıtlı arabalar yerine hibrit ve elektrikli arabaların tercih edilmeye başlanmasıyla büyük bir dönüşüm içerisine girmiştir. Bu dönüşüm piyasaya sonradan girecek olan üreticiler için önemli fırsatlar oluşturmaktadır. İlk yerli otomobilimiz olan TOGG bunun en güzel örneklerinden biridir. Çalışmanın amacı, otomotiv sektörü üzerinde etkili olan makroekonomik faktörler ile bu faktörlerin Türkiye'de faaliyet gösteren otomotiv sektöründeki firmaların borsa performansı üzerindeki etkilerini analiz etme üzerine oturtulmuştur. Çalışmada, otomotiv sektöründeki gelişmeleri dünya ve Türkiye bağlamında ele aldıktan sonra, Türkiye ekonomisinde sektörün yeri ve önemi üzerinde durulmuştur. Çalışmanın analiz kısmında, Türkiye'de Borsada işlem gören ve öncü konumundaki altı otomotiv sektörü firmasının 2014-2024 dönemindeki getirilerin döviz kuru, petrol fiyatları ve CDS primi gibi makroekonomik değişkenler karşısındaki performansı ve ilişkisi analiz edilmiştir. Çalışmanın sonuçları genel olarak otomotiv sektöründeki firmaların ekonomik göstergelerdeki değişimlerin öncüsü rolünde olduğuna ilişkin bazı veriler ortaya koymuştur. Bunun yanında ekonomik göstergelerdeki iyileşmeler sektörün fiyat performansını olumlu yönde etkilediğine ilişkin sonuçlar ortaya konmuştur.

ABSTRACT PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF THE AUTOMOTIVE SECTOR IN Türkiye AND AUTOMOTIVE COMPANIES TRADING ON THE ISTANBUL STOCK EXCHANGE The automotive sector is considered the locomotive of the economy in all industrialized countries. The automotive industry consists of many sectors such as iron-steel, petro-chemistry, glass, plastic, software, textile and electronics; It is also directly and indirectly effective in the development of agriculture, tourism, defense, transportation, infrastructure and construction sectors. The progress made by the Turkish automotive industry has also enabled the emergence of a giant sub-industry. The automotive sub-industry in Turkey is developing rapidly as a result of the developments in the automotive industry. Global automotive industry; It is in a major transformation such as the advancement in technology, the change in customer relations, and the preference for hybrid and electric cars instead of fossil fuel cars. At a time when this transformation is taking place, important opportunities may arise for manufacturers who will enter the market later. TOGG, our first domestic car, is one of the best examples of this. The aim of the study is to analyze the macroeconomic factors affecting the automotive sector and the effects of these factors on the stock market performance of automotive sector companies operating in Turkey. After considering the developments in the automotive sector in the context of the world and Turkey, the place and importance of the sector in the Turkish economy is emphasized. In the analysis section of the study, the performance and relationship of the returns of six leading automotive sector companies traded on the Stock Exchange in Turkey in the period 2014-2024 against macroeconomic variables such as exchange rate, oil prices and CDS premium are analyzed. The results of the study generally revealed some data indicating that the companies in the automotive sector are in the leading role of the changes in economic indicators. In addition, the results showed that the improvements in economic indicators positively affect the price performance of the sector.
