Özet
Meryem sûresi gerek peygamber kıssaları gerekse tevhid vurgusu ve itikadî konuları itibariyle oldukça dikkat çeken bir sûredir. Farklı dönemlerde ve coğrafyalarda yaşayan müfessirlerin Meryem sûresine yaklaşımları; buna bağlı olarak sûre tefsirinde meydana gelen gelişim, merak edilmiş ve bu çalışmanın konusunu oluşturmuştur. Meryem sûresi üzerine yapılan tefsir çalışmalarının tarihsel süreç içerisinde nasıl şekillendiğini ortaya koymak tezin amacını teşkil etmiştir. Araştırmada erken dönemden Mukâtil b. Süleymân (öl. 150/767) ve Taberî'nin (öl. 310/923); klasik dönemden İbn Cüzey (öl. 741/1340) ve İbn Kesîr'in (öl. 774/1373); modern dönemden İbn Âşûr (öl. 1393/1973) ve Süleyman Ateş'in (doğ. 1933) tefsirleri temel alınarak, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden mukayeseli metin analizi yapılmıştır. Âyetlerle uyumlu konu başlıkları oluşturularak, müfessirlerin âyetlere yaklaşımı, yöntem ve yorumları kronolojik sırayla karşılaştırılmıştır. Bu çalışma giriş, iki bölüm ve sonuçtan oluşmaktadır. Giriş bölümünde çalışmanın konusu, amacı, önemi, yöntemi, sınırlılıkları, kaynakları, Hz. Meryem'in İslâm, Yahudi ve Hıristiyan dünyasında nasıl anlaşıldığı ve hurûf-ı mukattaadan bahsedilmiştir. Birinci bölümde, Meryem sûresinde geçen kıssalar çerçevesinde, seçilen altı tefsirin bu kıssalara yönelik yaklaşımları incelenmiştir. İkinci bölümde sûrede zikredilen iman, küfür ve şirk ehlinin hem dünya hem de ahiret halleri ile Allah'ın onlara verdiği karşılığın anlatıldığı âyetlerin tercih edilen müfessirler tarafından yorumlanışı incelenmiştir. Sonuç bölümünde, sûre yorumu yapılırken rivayet ve dirayetin hâkim olduğu, fakat yoğunluğun zaman zaman değişiklik gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir. Modern dönemde pozitif ilimlerin gelişmesiyle sûredeki bazı müphem konuların ve mucizelerin bilimsel izahlarla açıklandığı görülmüştür.

Sūrat Maryam is a highly remarkable chapter of the Qurʾān in terms of its prophetic narratives as well as its emphasis on monotheism and theological doctrines. The approaches adopted by exegetes who lived in different periods and geographical contexts toward Sūrat Maryam, and the consequent developments in its interpretation, constitute the main subject of this study. The aim of this thesis is to reveal how exegetical studies on Sūrat Maryam have evolved throughout the historical process. In this research, a qualitative method—comparative textual analysis—has been epplied, taking as a basis the exegeses of Muqātil b. Sulaymān (d. 150/767) and al-Ṭabarī (d. 310/923) from the early period; Ibn Juzayy (d. 741/1340) and Ibn Kathīr (d. 774/1373) from the classical period; and Ibn ʿĀshūr (d. 1393/1973) and Süleyman Ateş (b. 1933) from the modern period. Topic headings compatible with the verses were formulated, and the exegetes' approaches, methods, and interpretations of the verses were compared in chronological order. This study consists of an introduction, two chapters, and a conclusion. The introduction addresses the subject, aim, significance, methodology, limitations, and sources of the study, as well as the perception of Maryam (Mary) in Islamic, Jewish, and Christian traditions, and the issue of the disconnected letters (ḥurūf al-muqaṭṭaʿāt). The first chapter examines the approaches of the six selected exegetes to the narratives mentioned in Sūrat Maryam. The second chapter analyzes the interpretations offered by the selected exegetes concerning the verses that describe the states of believers, disbelievers, and polytheists in both worldly life and the Hereafter, as well as the divine recompense bestowed upon them. In conclusion, it has been determined that both transmitted (riwāyah) and rational (dirāyah) methods dominate the interpretation of the sūrah, although their intensity varies at times. In the modern period, with the advancement of positive sciences, it is observed that certain ambiguous issues and miracles mentioned in the sūrah have been explained through scientific explanations.
