Özet
Evrensel varolmanın en önemli ayaklarından biri olan sanatın ve onun en önemli dal-larından olan operanın ülkemizdeki serüveni biraz gecikmeli, inişli-çıkışlı ve oldukça zorlu olmuş, hiç bir dönem düzenli olarak yeterli desteği görememiş ve hak ettiği yeri bulamamıştır. Türk operaları dünya arenasında yeterince yer bulamadığı gibi kendi ülkemizde de hak ettikleri değeri görememişlerdir. Eserler programlarda yeterince yer bulamamış, besteciler uzun bir dönem yeni operalar yazmaya cesaretlendirilmemiş, var olan eserlerin notalarına ulaşmak dahi bir sorun olmuştur. Tüm bunlarla bağlantılı olarak opera özelinde Türkçe şarkı söylemek ve Türk eserlerinin temsilleri de uluslararası standart ve arenalara ulaşamamış, Türk icracılar kendi ülkelerinin eserle-rini yeterince tanıyamama ve icra edememe noktasına gelmişlerdir. Bu tez ile unu-tulmaya yüz tutmuş ve ilk temsili dışında hiç sahnelenmemiş bu eseri Saygun ve opera ilişkisini, ne şekilde ve amaçla yazıldığı, librettosunu, bestede metin-müzik ilişkisini, şarkcılık bağlamında eserin ne gibi ifade ve teknik özellikleri ve zorlukları olduğunu, var olan veya olabilecek sorunların çözüm önerileri ve tarihsel bağamdaki önemi gibi konularda irdeleyerek yukarıda bahsi geçen konulara destek olunmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu amaçla öncelikle Ahmed Adnan Saygun'un müzik hayatı, fikri ve müzik anlayışı incelenmiş, ardından Osmanlı'dan günümüze operanın bu topraklarıdaki serüveni incelenmiş ve son olarak eserin librettosu, vokal notası, orkestra partisyonun ulaşıla-bilen kısımları incelenmiş ve hakkında hiçbir kaynak ve kayıt bulunmayan Taş Bebek operası anlaşılmaya ve anlatılmaya çalışımıştır. Eserin yalnızca bestelendiği yıl temsil edilmiş olması eserle ilgili neredeyse hiçbir kaynak olmamasının temel sebebidir. Devlet Opera ve Balesi'nde 2023 yılının sonunda gerçekleşen yönetim değişikliği ile Taş Bebek operasının yeniden sahnelenmesi gündeme gelmişse de, bestecinin bir diğer sahnelenmemiş eseri Gilgameş'in sahnelenmesine karar verilmiştir. Tam da bu süreçte başlamış olduğum tez çalışmam için bir kaynak olabilecek bu temsil gerçekleşmediği gibi, eserin partisyonunun tek bir kopyasının olması ve kopyanın o srada Devlet Opera ve Balesinde bulunması da partisyona uzun süre ulaşılamamasına sebep olmuştur. Tüm bu sorunlar göz önüne alındığında Cumhuriyet'in ikinci Operası olan Taş Bebek ile ilgili bu çalışmanın özellikle Türk opera literatürü için önemli kaynak olacağı düşünülmektedir.

The journey of art and its one of the most significant branches“opera”in Turkiye, one of the most important pillars of universal existence, has been quite difficult, and it has never received regular sufficient support and has not found the place it deserves. Turk-ish operas have not found enough opportunity in the world arena, nor have they re-ceived the value they deserve in our own country. Turkish operas haven't took part enough in programmes and composers have not been encouraged to write new operas for a long time, and even accessing the scores of existing works has been a difficult. As a result of these, singing in Turkish specifically for opera and the establishment of a Turkish singing school have not reached international standards, and Turkish per-formers have come to the point of not being able to adequately recognize and perform the works of their own country. This thesis will attempt to support the aforementioned issues by examining the relationship between Saygun and the opera, how and the rea-son of composing, its libretto, the relationship between text and music in the compo-sition, the expression and technical features and difficulties of the work in the context of singing, solution suggestions for existing or possible problems and its historical importance of this work which has almost fallen into obscurity and has never been staged except for its first performance. For this purpose, started with Ahmed Adnan Saygun's musical life, ideas and understanding of music were examined, followed by an exploration of the journey of opera in these lands from the Ottoman period to the present day. Finally, the libretto, vocal score and accessible parts of the score of the piece were examined, and attempted to understand and describe the opera“Taş Bebek”, which there is no source or existing recording of it. The fact that the opera was only performed in the year it was composed is the main reason why there are almost no sources about it. Although the staging of the Taş Bebek opera was on the agenda of the State Opera and Ballet following the management change at the at the end of 2023, it was decided to stage Gilgamesh, another unperformed work by the composer. Not only did this decision, which could have been a source for my thesis that I had just begun writing, but also made me unable to access the score for a long time because there is only one existing copy of the score, and that copy was at the State Opera and Ballet at that time. Considering all these issues and problems, it emphasizes the importance of creating a resource on Taş Bebek opera, the Turkish Republic's second composed opera.
