Özet
Üretim, insaların ihtiyaçlarını karşılamak için mal ve hizmetlerin elde edilmesine yönelik yapılan çalışmalardır. Toplumun ihtiyaçlarını karşılamayı amaçlayan işletmeler mal veya hizmet üretmek için bütün üretim fonksiyonlarını en iyi şekilde planlamalı ve yönetmelidirler. İşletmeler kendi varlıklarını sürdürebilmeleri için maliyetin çok önemli bir unsur olduğu iyi anlamalıdır. Bu nedenle üretim sırasında ürüne yansıtılan gereksiz maliyetleri ortadan kaldırmalıdır. İşletmeler faaliyetlerini sürdürürken kapasite, pazar, lojistik, davranışsal ve yönetsel gibi kısıtlarla karşılaşırlar. Bunları en az minimize etmek veya tamamen ortadan kaldırılmasına yönelik Goldratt tarafından Kısıtlar Teorisi (Theory of Constraints) yönetim felsefesi ortaya çıkmıştır. İşletme performansını etkileyen kısıtları inceleyen bir yönetim felsefesidir. Bir sistemin performansını engelleyen her etken kısıt olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Kısıtlar Teorisi, işletmelerin hedefledikleri noktaya ulaşmalarını engelleyen bu kısıtları belirleyip ortadan kaldırması için gerekli değişiklikleri uygulamayı amaçlayan bir disiplin olarak ortaya konmuştur. Bu çalışmanın birinci bölümünde üretim ile ilgili konular hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. İkinci bölümde, Kısıtlar Teorisi'nin tanımı, temel kavramlar ve uygulamaları ile ilgili bilgi verilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümünde Kısıtlar Teorisi'nin bir sanayi işletmesinde uygulama sonuçlarının incelenmesi hedeflenmiştir. Araştırılan firmada, siparişlerin gelmesi ve ürünlerin sevk edilmesi aşamasına kadar bütün süreçler en az 1 yıl boyunca takip edilmiş ve tespit edilen bulgular sayesinde işletmeye gerekli uygulamalarla hedefine ulaşmasını oldukça faydalı olmuştur.

Production is the efforts to obtain goods and services to meet the needs of people. Enterprises aiming to meet the needs of the society should plan and manage all production functions in the best way to produce goods or services. Businesses should understand that cost is a very important factor to sustain their existence. Therefore, it should eliminate unnecessary costs that are reflected to the product during production. Businesses face constraints such as capacity, market, logistics, behavioral and managerial activities. The Theory of Constraints management philosophy was developed by Goldratt to minimize them. It is a management philosophy that examines the constraints affecting business performance. Any factor that interferes with the performance of a system is defined as a constraint. The Theory of Constraints has been put forward as a discipline that aims to apply the necessary changes to identify and eliminate these constraints that prevent businesses from reaching their intended targets. In the first part of this study, information about production related issues is given. In the second chapter, the definition of the Theory of Constraints, basic concepts and applications are given. In the third part, it is aimed to examine the application results of the Theory of Constraints in an industrial enterprise. In the researched company, all processes have been followed for at least 1 year until the arrival of orders and the delivery of the products and thanks to the findings, it has been very beneficial for the company to reach its target with the necessary applications.
