Özet
İslâm medeniyetinde Kur'ân-ı Kerîm, yalnızca inanç hayatının merkezinde yer alan kutsal bir metin değil; aynı zamanda estetik, fikrî ve sanatsal birikimin en yoğun biçimde tezahür ettiği temel kaynaktır. Mushaf yazımı etrafında şekillenen hat, tezhip, cilt sanatları, ilahî kelâmın hayata yansımasını yüksek bir estetik bilinçle mümkün kılmış; bu sanatlar aracılığıyla Müslüman toplumların medeniyet tasavvuru somutlaşmıştır. Bu bağlamda mushaf sanatları, sanatkârların mânevî ve estetik birikimini görünür kılan özgün bir sanat alanı olarak değerlendirilmektedir. XXI. yüzyılda Hattat Hüseyin Kutlu'nun başkanlığında hazırlanan İstanbul Mushafı projesi, mushaf sanatlarının tarihsel birikimini, özünü koruyarak bugünün gelişmiş sanat diliyle yeniden ele almış ve bu mirası on cilt hâlinde sistematik biçimde ortaya koymuştur. Bu çalışma, söz konusu projenin Timurlu dönemini temsil eden VI. cildini hat ve tezhip sanatı bağlamında incelemektedir. Araştırmada İstanbul Mushafı'nın VI. cildi belge çözümlemesi yöntemiyle incelenmiş; yazı türleri, tezhip kompozisyonları, motif repertuvarı, renk tercihleri ve sayfa düzeni değerlendirilmiştir. Üretim sürecinin fikrî ve estetik arka planı sanatkârlarla yapılan mülâkatlar doğrultusunda ele alınmıştır. Bulgular, eserin XV. yüzyıl Timurlular dönemi estetik anlayışını bilinçli bir yorumla günümüze taşıdığını ve Mushaf sanatlarının XXI. yüzyılda ulaştığı düzeyi ortaya koyduğunu göstermektedir.

In Islamic civilization, the Qur'an is not only a sacred text at the center of religious life, but also the primary source in which aesthetic, intellectual, and artistic accumulation finds its most profound expression. The arts of calligraphy, illumination, and bookbinding that developed around the production of the mushaf enabled the divine word to be manifested in life through a refined aesthetic consciousness; through these arts, the civilizational vision of Muslim societies was given tangible form. In this context, the arts of the mushaf should be regarded as a distinctive artistic field in which the spiritual and aesthetic accumulation of the artist becomes visible. Prepared in the twenty-first century under the leadership of Hüseyin Kutlu, the İstanbul Mushaf project reinterprets the historical heritage of mushaf arts through a contemporary artistic language and presents this legacy systematically in ten volumes. This study examines the sixth volume of the project, which represents the Timurid period, within the framework of calligraphy and illumination. In this research, the sixth volume of the Istanbul Mushaf is analyzed using the method of document analysis; script types, illumination compositions, motif repertory, color preferences, and page layout are evaluated. In addition, interviews with the artists involved in the production process are utilized in order to reveal the intellectual and aesthetic background of the work. The findings demonstrate that the volume consciously conveys the fifteenth-century Timurid aesthetic understanding to the present day and reveals the level attained by mushaf arts in the contemporary period.
