Özet
Bu çalışma çocuk görüşme merkezlerinde (ÇGM) görev yapan sosyal hizmet uzmanlarının rollerini ve uygulama ilişkin deneyimlerini çocuğun üstün yararı ilkesi çerçevesinde analiz etmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Çalışma sosyal hizmet uzmanlarının deneyimlerine odaklandığı için nitel betimleyici çalışma olarak tasarlanmıştır. ÇGM'de görev yapan 14 sosyal hizmet uzmanı ile yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formları aracılığıyla görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Toplanan veriler içerik analiziyle çözümlenmiştir. Analizler sonucunda ana tema“çocuğun üstün yararı bağlamında sosyal hizmet uzmanı”olarak belirlenmiştir. Temalar ise,“çocukla ilişkisine yönelik roller”,“ebeveynle ilişkisine yönelik roller”ve“çocuk ve ebeveyne ilişkin ihtiyaçlar”olarak belirlenmiştir.“Çocukla ilişkisine yönelik roller”ve“ebeveynle ilişkisine yönelik roller”temalarına göre sosyal hizmet uzmanları ÇGM'de hem ebeveyne hem de çocuğa ilişkin kolaylaştırıcı roller üstlenmektedir. Bu rollerin bir gereği olarak sosyal hizmet uzmanları, çocuk teslimi ve kişisel ilişki kurma sürecinde çocuğun üstün yararı ilkesini merkeze almakta ve bu süreci olumsuz etkileyebilecek uygulamalardan kaçınmaktadır.“Çocuk ve ebeveyne ilişkin ihtiyaçlar”temasında, sosyal hizmet uzmanlarının ÇGM'ye dair geliştirilmesi gereken ihtiyaçları olduğu görülmektedir. İhtiyaçların karşılanması hem sosyal hizmet uzmanı hem de çocuk ve ebeveyn için kritik öneme sahiptir. Sosyal hizmet uzmanlarının deneyimlerine dair belirlenen temalar kapsamında uzmanların bilgi ve becerilerinin geliştirilmesine yönelik eğitimlerin artması ve ÇGM'nin fiziksel koşullarının iyileştirilmesi önem taşımaktadır.

This study aims to analyze the roles and practical experiences of social workers employed at child interview centers (CICs) within the framework of the principle of the best interests of the child. Since the study focuses on the experiences of social workers, it was designed as a qualitative descriptive study. Interviews were conducted with 14 social workers employed at child interview centers using semi-structured interview forms. The collected data were analyzed using content analysis. As a result of the analysis, the main theme was identified as“the social worker in the context of the best interests of the child.”The subthemes were identified as“roles related to the relationship with the child,”“roles related to the relationship with the parent,”and“needs regarding the child and parent.”According to the themes“roles related to the relationship with the child”and“roles related to the relationship with the parent,”social workers in child interview centers assume facilitating roles regarding both the parent and the child. As a requirement of these roles, social workers prioritize the principle of the child's best interest during the child custody and personal relationship establishment process and avoid practices that could negatively impact this process. Under the theme of“needs related to the child and parent,”it is evident that social workers have needs that require development regarding child visitation centers. Meeting these needs is of critical importance for both the social worker and the child and parent. Within the framework of the themes identified regarding the experiences of social workers, it is important to increase training aimed at developing their knowledge and skills and to improve the physical conditions of child interview centers.
