Özet
Bu tezin konusu, Özbek Cedit Edebiyatı eserlerinde, Türkistan Ceditçilik Hareketini karakterize eden cedit metaforlarının incelenmesidir. Tezde, Türkistanlı aydınların söylemlerinde yer alan cedit metaforları, Kavramsal Metafor Kuramı ve Eleştirel Metafor Analizi çerçevesinde ele alınarak incelenmiş, söylemlerin dikkat çekici ve ikna edici olması için kullanılan bu metaforların temelinde hangi dilsel, bilişsel, pragmatik, toplumsal ve kültürel etkenlerin bulunduğu tespit edilmiştir. Tez üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölüm, tezin kuramsal çerçevesinin oluşturulduğu bölümdür. Bu bölümde, metafora klasik ve çağdaş yaklaşımlar ele alınmış, Kavramsal Metafor Kuramı ve Eleştirel Metafor Analizi incelenmiştir. İkinci bölümde Türkistan Ceditçilik Hareketi; ortaya çıkış nedenleri, gelişim süreci ve kültürel, sosyal ve siyasi faaliyetlerini kapsayacak şekilde ele alınmıştır. Üçüncü bölüm ise tezin asıl konusunu oluşturan Özbek Cedit Edebiyatında cedit metaforlarının eleştirel analizine ayrılmıştır. Bu bölümde cedit metaforları, niceliksel olarak değerlendirilmiş; dilbilimsel, bilişsel ve pragmatik yönleriyle ele alınmış ve bu metaforların oluşumunda rol oynayan toplumsal etkenler, tarihsel ve kültürel temelleri gösterilmiştir. Tezin sonunda; Sonuç, Kaynaklar, Kavramsal Metaforlar Dizini, Özet ve Abstract yer almaktadır.

The subject of this thesis is the examination of jadid metaphors that characterize the Turkestan Jadidism Movement in the works of Uzbek Jadid Literature. In the thesis, the jadid metaphors in the discourses of Turkestan intellectuals were examined within the framework of Conceptual Metaphor Theory and Critical Metaphor Analysis, and the linguistic, cognitive, pragmatic, social and cultural factors underlying these metaphors used to make the discourses striking and persuasive were determined. The thesis consists of three parts. The first part is the part where the theoretical framework of the thesis is created. In this part, classical and contemporary approaches to metaphor are discussed, Conceptual Metaphor Theory and Critical Metaphor Analysis are examined. In the second part, the Turkistan Jadidism Movement is discussed in a way that includes the reasons for its emergence, development process and cultural, social and political activities. The third part is devoted to the analysis of jadid metaphors in Uzbek Jadid Literature, which is the main subject of the thesis. In this part, jadid metaphors are evaluated quantitatively; they are discussed with their linguistic, cognitive and pragmatic aspects and the social factors that play a role in the formation of these metaphors, their historical and cultural foundations are shown. At the end of the thesis; Conclusion, References, Conceptual Metaphors Index, Summary and Abstract are included.
