Özet
Felsefe tarihi boyunca özne ve kimlik kavramları sürekli tartışılmıştır. Descartes'ın“cogito”su ile mutlaklaşan bu yapı, Nietzsche'nin“anti-cogito”eleştirisiyle parçalanarak modern dönemde yapısal bir krize dönüşmüştür. Bu çalışma, söz konusu tarihsel kırılmadan hareketle Paul Ricoeur'ün“kendi olarak özne”kavramını merkeze almaktadır. Araştırmada Ricoeur, bir pergelin sabit ayağı olarak konumlandırılmış; pergelin hareketli ayağıyla ise hem özne kavramının tarihsel kökenlerine gidilmiş hem de dil, tarih, zihin, bilgi, varlık ve değer gibi felsefi alt disiplinlere bütüncül bir yolculuk yapılmıştır. Kavramlar incelenirken salt“göre”tavrı veya“karşı”tavrı yerine, hermenötik bir yaklaşımla“rağmen”tavrı benimsenmiştir. Bu doğrultuda tez, öznenin varoluşsal inşasını Anadolu irfanının ve Yunus Emre'nin“kendini bilme/ilmeklemek”ufkuyla uyumlu bir biçimde; okuma, dokuma ve dokunma aşamalarından oluşan süreçsel bir silsileyle temellendirmektedir. Öznenin dünyayı ve metinleri dolaylı yoldan anlamlandırdığı“okuma”aşaması, irade ve eylemle kendi anlatısal kimliğini ilmek ilmek inşa ettiği“dokuma”aşaması ve nihayetinde başkalığa, adil kurumlara ve etik sorumluluğa açıldığı“dokunma”aşaması sistematik olarak incelenmiştir. Mevcut literatürdeki sınırlı karşılaştırmalara karşın araştırmanın özgün değeri, Ricoeur'ün özne anlayışını felsefi alt dallarla bütüncül ve disiplinler arası bir yaklaşımla ilişkilendirmesidir. Yöntem olarak hermenötik analiz, disiplinler arası yaklaşım ve doküman analizi gibi nitel araştırma yöntemleri tercih edilmiştir. Çalışma, Ricoeur'ün temel eserleri üzerinden yapılan derinlemesine incelemeyle modern özne felsefesini geniş bir perspektifle sunmayı hedeflemektedir. Tezimiz; öznenin siyasi, etik ve varoluşsal boyutlarını bütünleştirerek, insanın“başkası”olmadan“kendi”olamayacağını; yemin edebilen, sözleşme yapabilen hukuki bir vatandaş olarak dünyayı okuyarak, kendi hikâyesini sorumlulukla dokuyarak ve ötekine umutla dokunarak muktedir bir varlık olarak kendini gerçekleştirdiğini ortaya koymaktadır.

Throughout the history of philosophy, the concepts of the subject and identity have been the subject of constant debate. This framework, which became absolute with Descartes'“cogito,”was shattered by Nietzsche's critique of the“anti-cogito,”leading to a structural crisis in the modern era. Building on this historical rupture, this study centers on Paul Ricoeur's concept of the“subject as itself.”In this research, Ricoeur is positioned as the fixed leg of a compass; the movable leg of the compass is used both to trace the historical origins of the concept of the subject and to undertake a comprehensive journey through philosophical sub-disciplines such as language, history, mind, knowledge, being, and value. In examining these concepts, rather than adopting a purely“relative”or“oppositional”stance, a hermeneutic approach based on the“despite”stance has been adopted. In this vein, the thesis grounds the existential construction of the subject in a processual sequence comprising the stages of reading, weaving, and touching, in harmony with the Anatolian wisdom and Yunus Emre's horizon of“self-knowledge/self-weaving.”The“reading”stage, in which the subject interprets the world and texts indirectly; the“weaving”stage, in which the subject constructs its narrative identity stitch by stitch through will and action; and finally the“touching”stage, in which the subject opens up to otherness, just institutions, and ethical responsibility, have been systematically examined. Despite the limited comparisons in the existing literature, the original value of this research lies in its holistic and interdisciplinary approach to relating Ricoeur's conception of the subject to various philosophical subfields. Qualitative research methods such as hermeneutic analysis, an interdisciplinary approach, and document analysis were employed. The study aims to present modern philosophy of the subject from a broad perspective through an in-depth examination of Ricoeur's major works. Our thesis demonstrates that by integrating the political, ethical, and existential dimensions of the subject, a person cannot be“the self”without“the other”; by reading the world as a legal citizen capable of taking an oath and entering into contracts, by weaving their own story with responsibility, and by reaching out to the other with hope, they realize themselves as an empowered being.
