Özet
Bu araştırmada otizm spektrum bozukluğu olan bireyler için özel eğitim öğretmenlerinin görüşlerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma grubunu Ankara'da bir özel eğitim merkezinde özel eğitim öğretmenliği yapan 7 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Veri toplama aracı olarak, uzman görüşleri doğrultusunda araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu vasıtasıyla toplanmıştır. Toplanan veriler içerik analizi yöntemiyle çözümlenmiştir. Çözümlemenin ardında özel eğitim öğretmenlerinin görüşleri toplam 4 tema ve bu temalar bağlı 23 kod ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Bu temalar; hareket eğitiminin bütüncül eğitimdeki yeri, fiziksel aktivitenin gelişimsel etkileri, planlama, müfredat ve uygulama boyutu, paydaş dinamikleridir. Genel olarak otizm spektrum bozukluğu olan bireyler için sporun gerekliliğini vurgulayan özel eğitim öğretmenleri bu bireylerin eğitiminde sporun bütüncül bir yaklaşımla dahil edilmesi gerektiğini vurgulamaktadır. Ayrıca katılımcıların çoğu sporun gelişim özelliklerine olan katkılarından söz etmiştir. Fakat planlama ve müfredat boyutunda ciddi eksiklikler olduğunu, alan uzmanlarının bu konuda yetersizliğini, sabit bir müfredat olmayışını ve spora erişimdeki zorlukları da dile getirmişlerdir. Öne çıkan bir diğer konu ise ebeveynlerin genel itibariyle spora dair yaklaşımları ve farkındalıklarının yeterli olmadığı olmuştur. Sonuç itibariyle özel eğitim öğretmenlerinin otizm spektrum bozukluğu olan bireyler için spora dair görüşleri ve yorumları olumlu olmakla birlikte alandaki yetersizlikler ve problemlerde tartışılmıştır.

This study aimed to examine the views of special education teachers regarding individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The study group consisted of seven teachers working as special education teachers at a special education center in Ankara. Data were collected through a semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher in line with expert opinions. The collected data were analyzed using the content analysis method. Following the analysis, the views of the special education teachers were grouped into a total of 4 themes and 23 codes associated with these themes. These themes were: the place of movement education within holistic education, the developmental effects of physical activity, the dimension of planning, curriculum, and implementation, and stakeholder dynamics. In general, the special education teachers emphasized the necessity of sport for individuals with ASD and stressed that sport should be incorporated into the education of these individuals through a holistic approach. Moreover, most of the participants mentioned the contributions of sport to developmental characteristics. However, they also expressed that there were serious deficiencies in terms of planning and curriculum, that field experts were inadequate in this regard, that there was no fixed curriculum, and that there were difficulties in accessing sport. Another prominent issue was that parents' approaches to and awareness of sport were generally insufficient. In conclusion, although the special education teachers' views and interpretations regarding sport for individuals with ASD were positive, the deficiencies and problems in the field were also discussed.
