Özet
ÖZET E3 UZAYINA YATIRILMIŞ, TAM ( KOMPLE ) ve SONLU TOTAL EĞRİLİKLİ MİNİMAL YÜZEYLER Bu çalışmada tam, E3 uzayına yatırılmış, sonlu total eğrilikli minimal yüzey oluşturulması için bir yöntem incelenmiştir. Yöntemin esasını oluşturan araç Weierstrass- Enneper gösterimidir. Bu araç sayesinde yüzeyin bağlantılılığı, total eğriliği, topolojik yapısı gibi global özelliklerinin incelenmesi, daha kolaylaşmış ve tam, E uzayına yatırılmış minimal yüzeylerin sınıflandırılması yolunda önemli ilerlemeler kaydedilmiştir. Çalışmada bu bulgular detaylı şekilde incelenmiş, sonuçlar değerlendirilmiştir. Bu sonuçlar kullanılarak yeni örnekler elde etmek için genel bir yönteme ulaşılmıştır. Yeni örneklerin bulunması global teoride ilerlemeye yardımcı olması açısından önemlidir. Çünkü bugüne kadar çok fazla örneğin var olmaması bu alanda ilerlemeyi yavaşlatmıştır. Yöntem sayesinde 1980'li yıllardan sonra hızlı bir gelişme kaydedilmiş ve bir çok örnek bulunmuştur. Bütün minimal yüzeyler içinde E3 uzayına yatırılmış tam ve sonlu total eğrilikli olanlar özel bir sınıf oluşturur. 1980'li yıllara kadar düzlem ve katenoit dışında bu yüzeylere örnek bulunamamış, 1981 yılında Costa Yüzeyinin bulunmasından sonra çalışmalar hız kazanmıştır. ABSTRACT COMPLETE EMBEDDED MINIMAL SURFACES WITH FINITE TOTAL CURVATURE In this work, a method of construction of complete embedded minimal surfaces with finite total curvature was considered. Weierstrass- Enneper representation is the fundamental tool for the method. With the help of this tool, it became easier to study the global properties of the surface such as connectedness, total curvature and topological type and important advances were obtained in the clasification of complete embedded minimal surfaces. In this work, those results have been investigated in a very detailed manner. And also those results have been used in order to obtain a method to construct new examples of minimal surfaces which have the properties desired. It is important to obtain new examples, in order to maintain the progress on the global theory. On this area, because of the lack of examples, progress has not been made rapidly. With the help of this method, after eighties, new examples have been found and new results were obtained. Among all minimal surfaces, complete embedded ones with finite total curvature is very special class. Up to eighties, there was no example other than plane and catenoid in this class of surfaces.
