Çevre sorunlarını birbirinden soyutlamak ve teker teker ele alıp değerlendirmek mümkün değildir. Çünkü çevre sorunları, nedenleri ve sonuçlan bakımından iç içe geçmiş durumdadır. Çevre sorunlarının diğer bir özelliği ise evrensel olmasıdır. Yerel nitelikteki bir sorunun bile, uzun vadeli etkileri göz önüne alındığında, aşamalı olarak önce bölgesel, daha sonra evrensel sorunlara kaynak oluşturacağı bir gerçektir. Serkan ARABACI Zonguldak Karaelmas University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences Department of Landscape Architecture Thesis Advisor : Prof. Dr. Sümer GÜLEZ February 2001, 109 pages Since environmental problems are concentric to each other as accordingly to their courses and consequences, they are not supposed to be abstracted and taken apart from each other. Another characteristic of environmental concerns is that they are universal. Even a local affair is to bring about regional and universal problems when it is impacts are considered in prolonged terms. Environmental problems can cause negative effects not only upon the individuals living at a certain period of time, but also upon the next generation and all organic or inorganic organisms.ABSTRACT (Continued) Today, it is understood better that pollution should be prevented beforehand because of the difficulty and high economic cost of eliminating present pollution. So, practicing Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) to activities that relate to the usage of natural resources and that are expected to have negative effects on the environment has gained importance. In this study, the textile industry which is supposed to prepare an EIA as accordingly to the EIA regulation dated on the 7 & February 1993, is analyzed through the environmental effects within the assessment of EIA prepared for the Dizayn Emprime CO. in Bartın. The effects of this activity on the environment are analyzed through construction and operation stages. First of all, the relationship of activity with environmental factors are studied and depending upon this its expected impacts on land, water climate, biotopes and visual potential were determined. At the end of the research upon matrix which shows the relationship between enwironmental factors and the activity of an“impact matrix”which assert the impacts produced by the activities that were developed, these mistakes generally made in EIA's are evaluated and some suggestions were presented on this context.
