Özet
Tez çalışmasında L2 [O, oo) Hilbert uzayında -y" + q(x)y, 0<,x<oo Sturm-Liouville diferansiyel ifadesi ve y(0) cos a + y'(0) sin a = 0 koşulu ile oluşturulan singular sınır değer probleminin Weyl-Titchmarsh fonksiyonun meromorf olduğu durumda spektral özellikleri incelenmiştir. Bunun yanısıra sınır değer probleminin L2 [O, qo) uzayında esaslı kendine eş operatör oluşturduğu gösterilmiştir. Ayrıca bulunan sonuçlar ısı denkleminin çözümüne uygulanmıştır.

In this thesis, in Hilbert space L2[o,oo) investigated spectral property of boundary value problem associated with singular Sturm-Liouville differantial expression, -y" + q(x)y, 0^x<co with boundary conditions y(0) cos a + y'(0) sin a = 0 in the case that Weyl-Titchmarsh function is meromorphic. Moreover it was showed inZ2[0,oo) space that boundary value problem formed essentially self-adjoint operator. In addition this, results which obtained were applied to solution of the heat equation.
