Özet
ÖZET Bu araştırma, geleneksel öğretim yöntemleri ile işbirlikli öğrenme yönteminin fen bilgisi öğretimi üzerindeki etkilerini sınamak amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada, geleneksel öğretim yöntemleri ile işbirlikli öğrenme yönteminin öğrenci başarısı üzerindeki etkinliği ve yine bu yöntemlerin, öğrencilerin hatırda tutma düzeyleri üzerindeki etkinliği,“ Elektrik, Enerji ”ünitesi kapsamındaki konularda ve ünite süresince incelenmiştir. Araştırmada, veri toplama aracı olarak 40 sorudan oluşan test kullanılmıştır. Bu test deneklere“ ön test, son test ve hatırda tutma testi ”olarak uygulanmıştır. Test sonucunda elde edilen veriler arasındaki ilişkiyi ölçmek için“ t testi ”uygulanmıştır. Araştırmaya, 2000-2001 eğitim öğretim yılının II. Döneminde Hatay ili, İskenderun ilçesi, Konarlı İlköğretim Okulu' nun 4 / A ve 4 / B smıflarındaki toplam 71 öğrencisi katılmıştır. Deney ve kontrol gruplarının belirlenmesinde yansız atama yöntemine başvurularak 4/B sınıfı kontrol, 4/A sınıfı deney grubu olarak belirlenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda, fen bilgisi dersinde işbirlikli öğrenmenin geleneksel öğretim yöntemlerine göre başarı ve hatırda tutma düzeyini yükseltmede daha olumlu etkilerinin olduğu belirlenmiştir. VI ABSTRACT This research has been conducted to investigate the effects of tradional teaching and cooperative learning methods on science teaching. In the study, effect of traditional teaching methods and cooperative learning method on student achievement and also on the level of keeping in mind has been investigated during. The teaching of the subjects covered in“Elektricity an Energy”chapter. In the research a test composed of 40 questions has been use to gather the data. This test was applied to trial group in the form of“preliminary test, final test and keeping in mind”test. To evaluate the relations among the data obtained,“t test”has been applied. Totally, 71 students from 4/A and 4/B grades of Konarh Elementary School, İskenderun-Hatay participated in the research. Experimental and control groups has been randomly selected. 4/B grade has been assigned as a control and 4/A has been assigned as a experimental group. According to the result of this research, it has been found that cooperative learning is more effective on improving achievement and keeping in mind level in science education class compared to traditional teaching methods.
