Özet
ÖZET Bu çalışmada, Üretim Kaynakları Planlama (ÜKP) Sisteminin temel özellikleri ve imalatçı bir firmada uygulanışı sunulmaktadır. Söz konusu firma havalandırma ve iklimlendirme sektöründe faaliyet göstermekte ve müşteriye özel mamuller üretmektedir. Bu nedenle, çalışmada sunulan uygulama, standart olmayan mamuller için ÜKP sisteminin uygulanmasına ilişkindir. Geleneksel olarak ÜKP sistemlerinin çoğu, standart mamuller ve seri üretim ortamı için geliştirilmiştir. Bugünün eğilimi ise az miktarda, kısa sürede ve daha düşük envanter seviyeleriyle müşteriye özel mamul üretmektir. Müşteriler, makûl fiyatlarda opsiyonel ürünler talep etmeye başlamış, öte yandan teknolojideki hızlı gelişim de ürün ömürlerini kısaltmıştır. Sonuç olarak, imalatçı firmalar standart ürünlerin seri şekilde imal edilmesi yaklaşımından uzaklaşmaktadır. Geleneksel ÜKP sistemlerinde, müşteriye özel mamullerin tanımlanması mümkün değildir. Bu nedenle, imalatçı firmalar başarılı uygulamalar için daha esnek ÜKP sistemlerine ihtiyaç duymaktadır. ÜKP sistemi, müşteriye özel mamullerin desteklenmesi için geliştirilen“Konfigüratör”modülünün kullanılması ile bu esnekliği sağlayabilmektedir. Çalışmanın birinci bölümünde, üretim planlama ve kontrol sistemlerinin tarihsel gelişimi incelenmiştir. İkinci bölümde, ÜKP sistemine ilişkin yapılan kaynak taraması bulunmaktadır. Üçüncü bölümde“Konfigüratör”modülünün özellikleri incelenmiştir. Dördüncü bölüm, ürünlerin tamamen müşteriye özel olarak imal edildiği iklimlendirme ve havalandırma sektöründe faaliyet gösteren bir firmada ÜKP sisteminin uygulanmasından oluşmaktadır.

ABSTRACT In this study, the basic characteristics of the Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP-II) system and its application in a manufacturing company is presented. The selected company, which operates in the air handling and ventilating sector, is producing customized products. Therefore, the application is about implementing MRP- II in a production system with non-standard products. Traditionally, most of the MRP-II systems have been designed for standard products and mass production. The recent trend is to produce the customized products in low quantities, with short lead times and low inventories. Customers have started to demand optional products at reasonable prices. Furthermore, rapid development of technology is shortening the life cycles of the products. Consequently, manufacturing firms are moving away from the traditional approach of producing standard products within mass production systems. In the traditional MRP-II systems, it is not possible to define the customized products. Therefore, the manufacturers need more flexible MRP-II systems for successful implementation. MRP-II can provide this flexibility with the implementation of the Configurator module, which is a module designed for supporting the production of customized products. In the first part of the study, the historical evolution of manufacturing planning and control systems have been analyzed. The second part contains a literature survey on the MRP-II system. In the third part, the characteristics of the“Configurator”module have been analyzed. The fourth part includes the implementation of MRP-II system in an air handling and ventilating sector company where the products are fully customized.
