Özet

IV ÖZET Bu araştırmanın amacı; Fen Bilgisi öğretiminde kullanılan ve kullanılması gereken en etkili yöntemler, Fen Bilgisi öğretiminde karşılaşılan problemler ve bu problemler için çözüm önerileri belirlenerek Fen Bilgisi öğretiminin daha etkili hale getirilebilmesi konusunda bundan sonra yapılacak çalışmalara ışık tutmaktır. Bu araştırma bir nitel araştırmadır. Veri toplama tekniği olarak“görüşme”kullanılmıştır. Konuyla ilgili eğitim programları, bu konuda yapılan araştırmalar, süreli yayınlar ve kaynak kitaplar incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın evrenini Konya il merkezinde bulunan M.E.B.'na bağlı ilköğretim okullarındaki 4./5. sınıf öğretmenleri; örneklemi, Konya il merkezinde bulunan M.E.B.'na bağlı Orgeneral Bedrettin Demirel, Özel Diltaş ve Mehmet Akdoğanlar İlköğretim okullarındaki 4./5. sınıf öğretmenleri oluşturmaktadır. Bu araştırmanın sonuçları şu şekilde özetlenebilir; 1. Fen Bilgisi derslerinde en çok kullanılan gösteri, soru-cevap ve tartışma yöntemleri; kullanılması gereken yöntemler ise deney, gezi ve gözlem yöntemleridir. 2. En büyük sorun konuların fazlalığı ve soyut olmasıdır. Öğretmenler Fen Bilgisi konusunda yeterli alan bilgisine sahip değildir.

SUMMARY The aim of this research is to explain and to enlighten the next studies for making more effective in science teaching that is determined the methods which needs to use as most effective for the future and the methods which is used now, and the problems in science teaching and suggestions to solve these problems. This study is a kind of qualitative research. The interview was used as a technique of gathering datum. Education programs, the researches in this field, periodic publications and bibliographies were examined concerning with the topic. As a whole of this research comprises the teachers of 4th and 5th classes of primary schools dependent on National Education Ministry (M.E.B.) in KONYA city centre; the teachers of 4 and 5 classes in the primary schools of“Orgeneral Bedrettin Demirel, Özel Diltaş and Mehmet Akdoğanlar”dependent on National Education Ministry (M.E.B. in Turkish) in KONYA city centre constitute an example for this research. The results of this research can be summarized like this: 1. Visual, questionnaire and discussion methods are used in science lessons mostly, but the methods which must be used are test method and excursion-observation method. 2. Main important problem is surplus of the topics and being abstract. Teachers do not have enough knowledge on their fields.
