Özet

I ÖZET YÜKSEK LİSANS TEZİ WEB'E DAYALI UZAKTAN EĞİTİMDE OTOMASYON Murat KARABATAK Fırat Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü Elektronik-Bilgisayar Eğitimi Anabilim Dalı 2002, Sayfa: 72 Web'e dayalı uzaktan eğitim, kısaca eğitimci ile öğrencilerin aynı mekanda olmadan gerçekleştirdikleri eğitim türü olarak tanımlanabilir. Geleneksel eğitim anlayışından farklı olarak bu tip eğitimin merkezinde öğrenci bulunmaktadır. Öğrenci zamandan ve mekandan bağımsız olarak konulan öğrenebilmekte ve eğitici ile teknolojiyi kullanarak bağlantı kurabilmektedir. Bu tez çalışmasında, Web'e dayalı uzaktan eğitimin etkili ve verimli kullanılabilmesi için bazı özellikleri, avantajları ve dezavantajları ele alınmıştır. Web tabanlı eğitimi etkin kılacak ve eğiticinin üzerinden birçok yükü kaldıracak olan otomasyon sistemlerinin yararları ve tasarımları hakkında da bilgiler verilecektir. Tezin son bölümünde, öğrencilere web ortamından sayısal analiz dersi veren ve yine web üzerinden öğrencinin sınav olmasını sağlayan örnek bir model gerçekleştirilmiştir. Sınavlar otomasyon sistemi tarafından otomatik olarak değerlendirilmektedir.

II ABSTRACT MASTER THESIS AUTOMATION ON WEB BASED DISTANCE EDUCATION Murat KARABATAK Fırat University Graduate School of Natural Applied Sciences Department of Electronics and Computer Education 2002, Page: 72 The Web Based Distance Education (WBDE) can be shortly defined as a sort of education in which the trainers and students need not to share the same places (classes). Different from the traditional approaches, this kind of education is a student- centered education. Students can learn subjects without depending on trainers and time intervals. The students can also communicate with their teachers using the technology. In this thesis, in order to use the Web Based Distance Education effectively, some properties, advantages and disadvantages of the web based distance education are considered. An automation system design for preparing more powerful an efficient web is also defined. The design and the benefits of the automation system that will make the WBDE active and reduce the trainer's burden are described. In the last section of thesis, an automation systems is proposed which allows the student to take the Numerical Analysis course and on line exams on the internet. The exams are automatically evaluated by the automation system.
