e TEZ ÖZETİ 134 M. 1 721 - 1722 tarihlimi 8 Numaralı ^Balıkesir Şer'iyy Sicilinine göre Balıkesir Tez çalışmamızda 718 numaralı Balıkesir Şer'iyye Sicili ana kaynak olarak kullanılmıştır. 10 Muharrem 1133 tarihi ile başlayıp iki yılı ihtiva eden 52 sayla sicil çeşitli yönlerden değerlendirilmiştir. Muhtelif kayıtlardan oluşan belgelere numara vererek incelediğimiz Şer'iyye Sicil defterinin kullanımını kolaylaştırdık. Gerek bu belgelerden, gerekse diğer kaynaklardan istifa ederek XVIII. yüzyılda Balıkesir'in ekonomik, sosyal, kültürel yapısı, gelenek ve görenekleri hakkındaki bilgiler gün ışığına çıkarılmaya çalışılmıştır. M. 1721 - 1722 yıllarını ihtiva eden Şer'iyye Sicilinde Balıkesir şehrine ait olan olaylar şahitler huzurunda kayıda geçirilmiş, Balıkesir tarihi açısından önemli olayların günümüze aktarılması sağlanmıştır. İki yıllık bir sicil defterinin vermiş olduğu bilgiler Balıkesir tarihinin bir bölümünü ancak aydınlatmaya yeterli görülmektedir. Balıkesir'in diğer sicillerinin de ilmin hizmetine sunulması ile Balıkesir tarihinin zincirinin halkaları tamamlanmıştır. 718 Numaralı Balıkesir Şer'iyye Sicili (H. 1133-1134, M. 1721- 1722) ile Balıkesir halkının toplumsal yaşantılarını ortaya koymak, dönemin ekonomik, sosyal, kültürel konularında bilgi vermek, sicillerde geçen coğrafi yer isimlerinden bölgenin yönetimsel ve idari özelliğini açıklayabilmek ayrıca bu konuda daha sonra yapılacak araştırmalara kaynaklık edebilmek amacıyla tez olarak seçilmiştir. Çalışmamız4fiAbölümden oluşmaktadır. Giriş kısmında, kadılık müessesesi ve şer'iyye sicilleri, şer'iyye sicilleri hakkında yapılan çalışmalar ve XVIII. yüzyılda Balıkesir hakkında kısaca bilgi verilmektedir. Birinci bölümde; 1133 ~ 1134 tarihli şer'iyye sicili defterininBalıkesir şer' iyye sicil defteri, Balıkesir sarihi ile ilgili yararlandığım eserler kaynakça kısmında hizmete sunulmuştur. Ekler kısmında ise, transkripsiyonunu yaptığımız belgelerden birkaç ornek verilmiştir.

SUMMARY OF TH E T H E S I S According to of the 5>eri'yye Sicili (Canonical Legality Registry) of the city of Balykesir of years 1133-1134 (Hegira Calendar) i.e. 1721-1722 A.D.. We have used the I>er'iyye Sicili of Balykesir Number 718 as a main source of our thesis study. A registry beginning from the 10lh of Muharrem 1133 and containing 52 pages of registries, made during two years, have been evaluated in various ways. We have numbered the documents, including various information, and thus wc have facilitated il.s use. İJnİiiş> these documents as well as other sources we have tried to obtain information about the economic, social and cultural structure as well as the traditions and customs of Balykesir in XVIII century. The events in the city of Balykesir appeared at Balykesir during the years 1711-1722 A.D. have been enrolled in the presence of the witnesses. The discovery of important for the history of Balykesir facts has been provided. The information provided by a two years registry is sufficient to clarify only a little part of the history of Balykesir. By offering of the other registries of Balykesir to the use of the science, the chain of the history of Balykesir will be completed. The E>eri'yye Sicili of Balykesir Number 718, comprising the years 1133-1134 (Hegira) - 1721-1722 A.D. has been chosen as a source of our thesis with an aim to expose the social life of the people of Balykesir, to determine the economic, social, political and cultural events of the period, to make explainable the ;£.administrative character of the region on the basis of the geographical names mentioned in the registry as well as to provide a guide for the consequent researches about this region which wiii be carried out in the future. Our study is comprising four parts except the introduction. The introduction contains information about ser'iyye sicili of the functions of Cadi, some studies carried out on the per'iyye sicili as well as about the city of Balykesir till the XVIII century. I. Part; Providing information about the registry book for the years 1133-1134, the documents included have been classified according to the contained information. Then they have been evaluated from administrative, social and economic aspects. In the second part, the govermental situation and the situation of those with govermental duties in Balıkesir take place. In the third part is about the social and religious life in Balıkesir.As for the fourth part information about the financiel ad trade structure in Balıkesir is given. The Book of I>er'iyye Sicili of Balykesir as well as the works, used as a source about the history of Balykesir, are listed in the part of references. A part of the transcribed documents is presented as examples in the annex.
