ÖZET İLKÖĞRETİM İKİNCİ AŞAMASİNDA MATEMATİK ÖĞRETİMİNDE BİLGİSAYAR KULLANMANIN ÖĞRENCİ BAŞARISI ÜZERİNE YANSIMALARI BOZKUŞ, Ercan Yüksek Lisans Tezi, Ortaöğretim Fen ve Matematik Alanları Eğitimi Anabilim Dalı Tez Danışmanı: Prof. Dr. Ekrem SAVAŞ Eylül 2002, 89 sayfa Bu çalışmada, ilköğretim ikinci aşamasında bilgisayar destekli matematik öğretimin, geleneksel yöntemle mukayese edildiğinde öğrenci başarısı üzerine etkileri araştırılmıştır. Ayrıca bilgisayar destekli öğretimin öğrencilerin cinsiyet ve başarı durumuna etkisi de incelenmiştir. Araştırmada kontrol gruplu ön test ve son test deney yöntemi uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın denekleri, Kırklareli ili Pınarhisar ilçesi Kaynarca İlköğretim okulunun ikinci aşamasındaki 122 öğrencidir. Araştırma, 2001-2002 eğitim ve öğretim birinci yarıyılında gerçekleşmiştir. Araştırmanın amacı doğrultusunda uygulanan yöntemle öğrencilerin matematik dersi notlarına göre deney ve kontrol grupları oluşturulmuştur. Kişisel Bilgiler anketinde grupların denk oldukları görülmüştür. Her sınıf için uygulama yapılacak ders üniteleri ile araştırmanın süresi tespit edilmiş, sonra uygulamaya başlamadan önce işlenecek ünite ile ilgili hazırlanan 25 soruluk yetenek testi gruplara ön test olarak uygulanmıştır. Gruplar üniteleri aynı öğretmenle ders planındaki ders saatlerinde işlemişlerdir. Kontrol grubu, matematik dersini dershanede geleneksel yöntemle işlemiş, deney grubu ise, haftada iki saat dershanede geleneksel yöntemle, kalan iki saati de planlanan zamanda BT sınıfında bilgisayar desteğiyle işlemiştir. Uygulama sekiz hafta sürmüştür. Araştırma sonunda öğrencilerin başarısını ölçmek için her iki gruba son test uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın ortaya koyduğu bulgular doğrultusunda, bilgisayar destekli matematik öğretimin geleneksel yöntemle kıyaslandığında öğrenci başarısını etkilediği ve daha fazla arttırdığı, bilgisayar destekli öğretimin cinsiyet üzerinde etkisinin olmadığı, başarılı öğrenciler üzerinde etkili olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.

ABSTRACT THE EFFECTS ONTO SUCCESSION OF COMPUTER USE IN EDUCATION OF MATHMATICS FOR SECONDARY PERIOD STUDENTS OF PRIMARY SCHOOLS BOZKUŞ, Ercan Msc, High Scholl Science and Mathematics Education. Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Ekrem SAVAŞ September 2002, 89 pages In this study, the effects of the computer-aided mathematics teaching on the second phase of the primary school student's success are researched by comparing computer-aided teaching with traditonal teaching. Besides, the student's sexuality and effects on successful and unsuccessful students is also analysed in the study. Pre-test and final test experimental method with control groups is applied to the sudents of the second phase of Kaynarca Primary School in Pinarhisar / Kırklareli. The research is carried out during the first semester of the 2001-2002 academic year and there are 122 students in the research, totally. The experiment and control groups are formed with respect to student's mathematics grades. An enquiry about personel information is made and the results give a state of equilibrium among the study of the groups. Before the experiment, all math units and their explanation of times are determined for each group. After that, a test consisting of 25 questions and including releated math units is applied to the students as a pre-test. Both control group and experiment group are taken for mathematics by the same teacher in the regular curriculum. The control group takes 4 hours in a week in traditional teaching. As for experiment group, the group takes 2 hours in traditional teaching and 2 hours in computer-aided teaching. The research continues 8 weeks. At the end of 8 weeks, a final test is applied to both groups to find out the results of the research. The results of the research shows that computer-aided mathematics teaching has a remarkable effect on student's success. The students exposing to computer-aided teaching are more successful than others on average although the student's sexuality has no effect on their success. In addition, it has a considerable effect on successful students.
