Özet
Bu tez çalışmasında, varyansların homojenliğini test etmede kullanılan yöntemlerinden olan; Anomv testi, Bartlett testi, Bartlett 2 testi, Broun-Forsythe testi, Cochran testi, Hartley (F^, ) testi, Jackknife testi, Levene testi, Levene 2 testi ve Sattenvaite testi olmak üzere 10 adet test yöntemi, I. tip hata ve testin gücü bakımından simülasyon yaklaşımı ile karşılaştırılmıştır. Çalışmada, ele alman testler için 3, 4, 6 ve 10 gruplu denemeler seçilmiştir. Bu denemelerde, grupların alınmış oldukları populasyonların; Normal (0, 1), Student t(5), Weibull (3,0.2), X"(3), y(l,l) ve p (5,1) dağılımı gösteren populasyonlar olduğu varsayılarak, gruplardaki gözlem sayısı eşit ve farklı olacak şekilde örnekler alınmış ve bu örneklerde, 100000 (yüzbin) simülasyon denemesi sonucunda, gerçekleşen I. tip hata olasılığı ve güç değerleri hesaplanmıştır. Sonuçta, normal dağılım ön şartı yerine geldiğinde veya normal dağılımdan aşın sapma olmadığında, gruplardaki gözlem sayısı eşit ise; Anomv, Bartlett. Bartlett 2, Cochran ve Hartley testlerinin, gruplardaki gözlem sayısı farklı ise; Bartlett ve Bartlett 2 testlerinin kullanılmasının uygun olacağı, diğer dağılımlardan alınan örneklerde ise gruplardaki gözlem sayısı eşit ve farkı olduğu durumlarda, Brown-Forsythe ve Sattenvaite testlerinin kullanılmasının uygun olacağı gözlenmiştir. 2002,210 sayfa

In this study, Anomv test, Bartlett test, Bartlett 2 test, Brown-Forsythe test, Cochran test, Hartley (Fm.< ) test, Jackknife test, Levene test, Levene 2 test and Satterwaite test used for testing the homogeneity of variances were compared in terms of type I error rate and power of the test by using of simulation method. The experiments containing 3, 4, 6, 10 groups were choosed. In the experiments, the samples including either equal or unequal observations were drawn from populations, Normal (0, 1), Student t(5), Weibull (3,0.2), x:(3). 7(1,1) and P(5,l) distributions. Type I error and power of the test were obtained from these samples at the end of 100,000 (one hundred thousand) simulation trials. As a result, it is observed that, Anomv test, Bartlett test, Bartlett 2 test, Cochran test and Hartley (Fmax ) test are better than the other tests when sample sizes are equal in groups whereas Bartlett test and Bartlett 2 test are better than the others in unequal sample size in normal and moderately skewness populations. Brown-Forsythe and Satterwaite tests can be preferably used in both equal and unequal sample sizes in the distributions deviated from normal. 2002, 210 pages
