Özet
ÖZ Bu tez ile Beethoven'in yaşamı ve kişiliğinin yanı sıra yazdığı piyano- keman sonatlarının çerçevesinde sonat kavramına genel bir bakış ile Beethoven'in bu kavramla ilgili yaptığı yenilikler ve geliştirmelerin ortaya çıkarılması amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda öncelikle Beethoven'in yaşamı, kişiliği ve yaşadığı dönemin siyasi ve sosyal yapısı incelenmiştir. Beethoven'in eserleri ve eserlerine ilişkin dönemlerin incelenmesi, stilinin gelişiminin incelenebilmesi için ele alınmıştır. Tezimin ana konusu olan Piyano-Keman sonatlarının analizlerinden önce sonat formunun ve Beethoven'in getirdiği yeniliklerin kısaca incelenmesi ile yapılan analizlerin daha iyi açıklanabilmesi öngörülmüştür. İncelenen piyano-keman sonatları seçilirken bu yenilikler ve geliştirmelerin izlenebilmesi amacıyla yazılış tarihi açısından birbirlerine uzak olmaları gözönüne alınmıştır.

VI ABSTRACT By this thesis, it was aimed to shape a general view of sonata concept with regard to the sonatas Beethoven had composed, and to reveal the innovations and improvements Beethoven had done as well as his life and character. For this purpose, first, Beethoven's life, character, and the political and the social structure of the period he had lived in were studied. Studies about the works of Beethoven and the periods associated with these works have been conducted for making it possible to examine the progress of his style. Before the analyses of Piano- Violin sonatas which are the main subject of my thesis, it was intended to make it possible to explain the analyses conducted better by briefly examining the sonata forms and the innovations Beethoven had initiated. For making it possible to observe these innovations and improvements, care was given them being distant to each other with respect to their composition dates while selecting the sonatas.
