ÖZET ÖĞRETME STRATEJİLERİNİN ÖĞRENME STRATEJİLERİ KULLANIMINA ETKİSİ Karakoç, Şerife Yüksek Lisans, Eğitim Bilimleri Anabilim Dalı Eğitim Programları ve Öğretim (Eğitim Teknolojisi) Programı Danışman: Yrd.Doç.Dr.Nurettin Şimşek Ağustos 2003, 183 sayfa Bu araştırma, öğretmen tarafından kullanılan öğretme stratejilerinin, öğrencilerin öğrenme stratejileri kullanımları üzerinde belirleyici etkilerinin olup olmadığını, (varsa) bu etkinin nitelik ve düzeyini belirlemek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma, Ankara Üniversitesi Sağlık Eğitim Fakültesi üçüncü sınıfında bulunan 32 öğrenci üzerinde yürütülmüştür. Uygulama öncesinde ve sonrasında deneklerin kullandıkları öğrenme stratejilerini belirlemek amacıyla“Genel Öğrenme Stratejileri Değerlendirme ölçeği”kullanılmıştır. Altı haftalık öğretim uygulaması süresince bir grupta sorgulayıcı öğretme stratejisi, diğer grupta sunuş yoluyla öğretme stratejisi kullanılmıştır. Öğrencilerin kullandıkları öğrenme stratejilerinin türündeki değişim, grup içi karşılaştırmalarda McNemar testi, gruplar arası karşılaştırmalarda Kay-Kare testi; kullanılan öğrenme stratejilerinin sayısındaki değişim, grup içi karşılaştırmalarda ilişkili t-testi, gruplar arası karşılaştırmalarda ilişkisiz t-testi; öğrenme stratejilerinin kullanılma biçimindeki değişim, grup içi karşılaştırmalarda McNemar testi, gruplar arası karşılaştırmalarda Kay-Kare testi kullanılarak çözümlenmiştir. Verilerin çözümlenmesi sonunda, öğretmen tarafından kullanılan öğretme stratejilerinin öğrencilerin öğrenme stratejileri kullanımlarını etkilediği ortaya çıkmıştır. Sorgulayıcı öğretme stratejisinin kullanıldığı gruptaki öğrencilerin anlamlandırma stratejisini, sunuş yoluyla öğretme stratejisinin kullanıldığı gruptaki öğrencilerin ise tekrar ve hatırlama stratejilerini daha yoğun olarak kullanmaya başladıktan ve öğrencilerin kullandıkları öğrenme stratejilerinin sayısının, sunuş yoluyla öğretme stratejisi kullanılan grupta arttığıve öğretmen tarafından kullanılan öğretme stratejisinin öğrencilerin öğrenme stratejilerini kullanım biçimlerini etkilediği belirlenmiştir. ABSTRACT THE EFFECT OF TEACHING STRATEGIES ON THE USE OF LEARNING STRATEGIES Karakoç, Şerife Master thesis, Department of Educational Sciences Program of Curriculum and Instruction (Educational Technology) Adviser: AsstProf.Dr.Nurettin Şimşek August 2003, 183 pages This research has been conducted to determine whether teaching strategies used by teachers have a significant effect on learning strategies used by students, and (if there is) to determine the quality and the level of the effect. The research has been carried out on a study group of 32 third class students of Faculty of Health Education, Ankara University. In order to determine the learning strategies used by the study group“General Learning Strategies Evaluation Scale”has been applied for pretest. During the 6 week practice, inquiry teaching strategy and expository teaching strategy has been practiced on two different groups. At the end of the practice the Scale has been reapplied to the groups for post test The change in the type of the learning strategies used by the students has been compared with McNemar test within the group and with Chisquare test between groups; the change in the number of the learning strategies used by the students has been compared with Paired Samples t test within group and by Independent t test between groups; the change in the way of the learning strategies used by the students has been compared with McNemar test within the group and with Chisquare test between groups. Findings point out teaching strategies used by teachers have a significant effect on learning strategies used by students. It was found that on the one hand, students using inquiry teaching strategy in the group began to use elaborative strategy more intensively, on the other, students using expository teaching vustrategy in the other group began to use rehearsal and recall strategies more intensively. The number of learning strategy used by students using of expository teaching strategy in the group increased. Also it was indicated that teaching strategies used by teachers have impact on way of the learning strategies used by students. Vlll
