Özet

IV ÖZET Bu çalışmanın amacı Türkiye'deki ilköğretim okullarının altıncı sınıflarına yönelik Çoklu Zeka Kuramını esas alan etkinlikler önermektir. Bu tez çalışması beş bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde çalışmanın amacı, yöntemi ve çalışma konusu sunulmaktadır. Çalışma konusu ile ilgili genel bilgi ve ilgili terimler ikinci bölümde yer almaktadır. Üçüncü bölümde ise veri toplama tekniğinin yer aldığı yöntemi belirleyen ve çalışmanın temelim oluşturan konular yer almaktadır. Bu bölümde ayrıca Kırıkkale'deki Şehitler İlköğretim Okulu'ndaki altıncı sınıf öğrencilerine uygulanmış olan anket sorulan daha sonraki bölüme ışık tutacak şekilde incelenmektedir. Burada uygulanan veri toplama tekniğinin amacı hedef grubun ne tür zeka yapışma sahip olduğunu ve hangi zeka türlerinin öğrenciler de bulunduğunu ortaya çıkarabilmektir. Zeka türlerini belirleyen bu sonuçlar eğitimi etkinliklerinin hazırlanmasında önemli rol almaktadır. Bütün sonuçlar değerlendirilip grafiklerle ayrıntılı bir şekilde gösterilmektedir. Bu çalışmanın dördüncü bölümü önceki bölümde elde edilen verileri kullanarak Çoklu Zeka Kuramını temel alan ve altıncı sınıf İngilizce derslerine yönelik etkinlikler geliştirmektir. Beşinci bölümde çalışmanın bir özeti yapılmakta ve önerilerde bulunulmaktadır. Bu çalışmada ayrıca dört tane de ek vardır. Birinci ve ikinci ekler veri toplamada kullanılan anket sorularının Türkçe ve İngilizce metinlerini içermektedir. Diğer eklerde ise, Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı tarafından önerilen ve ilköğretim okullarında uygulanmakta olan program ile dördüncü bölümde kullanılan eğitim etkinliklerine ait üç şarkının sözleri bulunmaktadır.

ABSTRACT This study aims at suggesting alternative activities based on the Multiple Intelligences Theory for title learners of the sixth grades at the elementary education in Turkey. The whole study is composed of five chapters. In the first chapter, the topic to be handled is introduced and assumptions are made along with the method and aim of the study. The second chapter presents the historical background and the terms related to the study. In the third chapter, the method of the study, in which data collection has a great role, is presented. The data collected from the questionnaires administered to the sixth grade students at Şehitler İlköğretim Okulu, Kırıkkale, are analyzed in detail in terms of the Multiple Intelligences Theory to give an idea in designing the next chapter. The purpose of this data collection technique is to be able to find out what kind of intelligences are dominant among young learners, and to focus on the results obtained from the data collection techniques in designing the new activities to be based on the Multiple Intelligences Theory. All the results obtained are shown on either bar or pie graphs. The fourth chapter contains the suggested activities which are based on the Multiple Intelligences Theory. The activities suggested here are all presented in accordance with the existing syllabus followed at the elementary education. The fifth chapter involves a brief summary of the study and some further remarks. In this study, there are also four appendices two of which are the English and Turkish versions of the questionnaire administered for data collection. The other appendices are the existing syllabus for elementary education approved by the Ministry of National Education and the tape scripts of the songs used in the study.
