^ SUMMARY Fragmented markets, rapid obsolenscence of products and services, short windows of opportunity, instability and uncertainty, rising customer demands for quality products and services at competitive prices and for fast responses, a growing demand for customized products, and customer expectations evolving fast and unpredictably are typical characteristics of today's business environment. In order to compete in such an environment, businesses need to increase productivity while providing higher levels of service and responsiveness. But it doesn't seem possible to fulfill these requirements with traditional business methods and organizational structures. In such a rapidly changing and highly competitive environment, businesses need to make process innovations as well as providing new products and services to their customers. For this purpose, a lot of organizations are trying to make process innovations. But most of the time, these process innovation initiatives fail and companies don't get the benefits they expected. There are several factors affecting the process innovation projects' success. One of the factors that affect process innovation projects' success is team learning. Therefore, how process innovation teams learn and what factors are supporting team learning are important research questions. In this study, factors supporting team learning and their impact on the success of the process innovation projects have been researched and the results obtained have been discussed. This research has been done on 145 process innovation teams of 87 firms in Gebze and around. As a result of this study, it is found that team vision, recording and reviewing project related information, filing, following a structural development process and co-location of team members are factors supporting team learning and project success. Also, two dimensions of learning, information acquisition and information implementation, are positively related to the success of the process innovation projects.
