Özet
ÖZET ORTAÖĞRETİM KURUMLARINDA BİYOLOJİ ÖĞRETİM METODLARI YOLCU, Can Yüksek Lisans Trad, Orta öğretim Fen ve Matematik Aîanlan Eğitimi Biyoloji Anabilim Dalı Tez Danışmanı : Prof. Dr. Mehmet KOYUNCU Ocak 2003, 77 Sayfe Bu çalışma Van'da bulunan özel ve Anadolu liseleri dışındaki liselerde görev yapan Biyoloji Öğretmenlerim kapsamaktadır. Buradaki temel amaç öğretmenlerin öğretim metotlarını ae kadar uyguladığını ve bu öğretim metotlarım destekleyecek araç-gereçlerin ne sıklıkta kullanıldığının tespiti olmuştur. Araştırmada 26 soru içeren bir de anket uygulaması yapılmıştır. Anket sorulan çoktan seçmeli ve öğretmenlerin kendi görüşlerini özgürce belirtebilecekleri sorulardan oluşmuştur. Anket, özel ve Anadolu liseleri dışında Van merkezde bulunan orta öğretim kurumlarında ( Liselerde ) uygulanmıştır. Ankette sorulan soruların cevaplanması sonucunda ortaya çıkan yüzdelikleri şöyle gerçekleşmiştir. 1. Derslerde araç gereç kullanma %20 2. Laboratuvar ( Deney ) metodunu kullanma %1 7 3. Düz anlanm metodunu kullanma %31 4. Soru-cevap metodunu kullanma %25 5. Problem çözme metodunu kullanma %1 6. Gösteri ( Demonstrasyon ) metodunu kullanma %1 1 7. Gezi gözlem metodunu kullanma %14 8. Grup tartışma metodunu %6 9. Kubaşarak metodunu %î Çalışma sonunda öğretmenlerin büyük bir kısmının öğretim metodlannın hiçbirisini tam ve sağlıklı olarak kullanmadığı görülmektedir. Bunun nedeni olarak öğrencilerin sosyo-ekonomik durumlarının kötü oluşu, laboratuvarlannın yetersiz oluşu, öğrencilerin biyoloji dersine yeterince önem vermeyişi gibi nedenler gösterilmektedir.

ABSTRACT TEACHING METHODS OF BIOLOGY IN INSTITUTIONS OF SECONDARY EDUCATION YOLCU, Can Master Thesis, The Departmant of Biology of Education of Science and Mathematics of Secondary Education Supervisor : Prof. Dr. Mehmet KOYUNCU January 2003, 77 Pages This study covers biology teachers in iycees in Van with the exception of those working in private and Anatolian iycees. The main aim has been to determine to what extent teaching methods of the teachers are taken into account, and how often the educational tools, which are to support these teaching methods, are used. A poll containing 26 questions were carried out in the research. The questions of the poll are prepared as mulu'plechoice and in a way that the teachers can write their own ideas. The poll was carried out in the institutions of secondary education, except those private and Anatolian iycees, in the city center of Van. Alter the questions being answered the percentages have been formad as follows. 1. Using educational tools in course, 20% 2. Using laboratory ( experiment ) method 17% 3. Using plain narrating method 31% 4. Using question-answer method 25% 5. Using problem solving method 1% 6. Using demonstration method 11% 7. Using excursion observations method 14% 8. Using group quarelling method 6% 9. Using cooperative learning method 1 % In conclusion, it has been observed that most of the teachers aren't using all teaching methods either wholly or accurately. Among the major reasons, bad socio-economical conditions of the students, inadequate laboratories, and underestimation of biology lesson by the students have been shown.
