11 SANATTA YETERLİK TEZ ÖZÜ GÖRSEL ANLATIMDA DENGE Nilgfin ŞENER Resim Anasanat Dalı Anadolu Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü, Eylül 2004 Danışman: Prof. Abdullah DEMİR“Görsel Anlatımda Denge”adlı araştırmada, görsel öğelerin bir araya gelişlerini ve ilişkilerini düzenleyen ilkelerden biri olan dengenin oluşmasını sağlayan unsurların değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma, tarama modelinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın çalışma evrenini ise; dengenin kavram ve genel olarak incelenmesi, görsel algılama ve denge ilişkisinin görsel anlatımları oluşturan öğelere yansıması oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın belirlenen amaca ulaşması için gerekli olan veriler, araştırmacı tarafından konu ile ilgili ve ilişkili ansiklopedi, tez, makale, dergi, Internet gibi kaynakların taranması ve incelenmesi ile toplanmıştır. Araştırmanın 'Denge' adındaki birinci bölümünde 'Kavram Olarak Denge' başlığı altında dengenin ansiklopedik açılımı yapılırken, 'Genel Olarak Denge'de ise denge kavramı kapsam olarak genişletilerek açıklanmıştır. Evrende, doğada ve yaşamda dengenin önemi vurgulanmış, bütün bu değer ve değerlendirmelerle görsel dengeyle bağlantı kurulması kolaylaştırılmıştır. İkinci bölüm olan 'Denge Kavramı ve Algılama'da; 'Gözde Denge', 'Bakma ve Görmede Denge', 'Algılama ve Denge İlişkisi' adlım konular birinci bölümden elde edilen değer ve değerlendirmelere bağlı olarak açıklanmıştır. Gözün yapısı, görme sistemi incelendikten sonra bakma ve görmede dengeyi etkileyen unsurlar çeşitli örneklerle belirlenmiştir. Algılama sürecinin denge ile ilişkisinden sonra görsel algılama tanımlanmıştır. 'Görsel Anlatımda Denge' başlığındaki üçüncü bölümde; 'Genel Olarak Görsel Denge' örneklerle açıklandıktan sonra görsel anlatımı meydana getiren öğelerin denge ile ilişkileri incelenmiştir. Görsel anlatımı oluşturan renk, form, hareket ve yön, espas, nicelik ilişkileri ile kavramsal etkilerin denge ilkesi ile oluşturdukları genel etkiler ele alınmıştır. Son bölüm olan 'Yapısal Özelliklerine Göre Denge'de ise sanat tarihi içerisinde önemli yeri olan resim, heykel, grafik gibi yapıtlardan alınan örneklerle 'Simetrik Denge', 'Radyal Denge', 'Kristalize Denge' ve 'Asimetrik Denge' açıklanmıştır. Görsel öğelerin düzen ve disiplinini sağlayan görsel denge, yapısal özelliklerine göre yapıt analizleri ile çözümlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak, doğanın ve yaşamın düzenini sağlayan denge unsuru, görsel anlatımların da temelini oluşturmaktadır.

IV ABSTRACT In the research, named“Balance In Visual Expression”, one of the principles that organize the harmony of visual elements and their relations is called 'Balance'. Here, it is aimed to analyze the elements which make up 'Balance'. The scanning model has been used in this research. It includes the analysis of balance as a concept and the reflections of visual perception and balance relations as well as the elements consisting visual expression in general. In order to reach the objective of this research, the data has been gathered by the researcher via the sources from encyclopedias, thesis, articles, magazines, internet etc related to the subject. In the first division 'Balance', various descriptions of balance from different encyclopedias has been included under the title 'Balance as a concept'. The concept of balance in universe, nature and life is explained in the next title 'Balance In General'. The importance of balance in universe, nature and life has been expressed and the relation of visual balance is simplified by the means of all the analysis. In the second division, 'The Concept Of Balance And Perception', the three subjects 'Balance in Eye', 'Balance In Looking and Seeing' and 'The Relationship Between Perception And Balance' has been analyzed under the explanations in the first division. The elements, that affect the balance of activity of looking and seeing, are determined with various examples after the analysis of anatomy of eye and visual system. The visual perception is defined after a relationship between the process of perception and balance is built.In the third division, 'Balance In Visual Expression', the relation between balance and the elements that constitute visual expression is examined after the 'Visual Balance In General' is explained. The relation between the constitutes of visual expression, including color, form, direction-motion, space, quality-quantity and conceptual effects, are studied together with the principles of balance. In the last part 'Structural Characteristics Of Balance', the sub titles 'Balance Symmetry', 'Radial Balance', 'Crystallized Balance' and 'Balance Asymmetry' are explained with the samples from work of art like drawing, statue and graphic, that have a considerable place in Art History. Visual balance that supplies the order and discipline of visual elements is described with the composition analysis. As a conclusion, balance, which provides the regularity of life and nature, constitutes the fundamental basics of visual expression.
