Özet
Kentleşme ve gecekondulaşma özellikle büyük kentlerde birbiriyle bağlantılı süreçlerdir. Gelişmekle olan ülkeler kentleşme olgusunu sağlıksız bir biçimde yaşarken bu süreç beraberinde gecekondu olgusunu getirmiştir. Gecekondu olgusunu nedenleri ve sonuçlarıyla düşündüğümüzde gecekondu olgusunu sadece bir barınma ve konut sorunu olarak görmek yanlış olur. Hızlı kentleşmenin fiziki mekana yansımasıyla ortaya çıkan bu sorun toplumun sosyal ve ekonomik yapısından ve bu yapıdaki değişmelerden doğan şehirleşmenin hızı ve biçimi ile ilgili bir kalkınma ve sanayileşme sorunudur. Türkiye gelişmekte olan bir ülkedir. Bu özelliği dolayısıyla şehirleşme yapısı Batılı gelişmiş ülkelerden farklı niteliklere sahiptir.Türkiye'de kentleşme doğrudan sanayiye dayanan ve gelişmeyi hızlandıran bir yapıda değildir. Bu hızlı değişim ve gelişim sürecinden toplumun temel yapı taşı olan insanın ve onun dini hayatının etkilenmemesi mümkün değildir. özellikle son 20 yılda büyük bir değişim ve gelişim gösteren Kayseri şehrinin iki gecekondu mahallesindekiler üzerinde bir araştırma yapılmıştır. Bu sebeple gecekondu mahallelerinde oturan fertlerin dini inançlarını, dini ibadetlere olan ilgi derecelerini,dini kanaatlerini, dini tutumlarını ve günlük hayatında dini nitelikli diğer toplumsal olayları tespit etmeye çalıştık

Urbanization and squatting are the processes related to each other specially in big metropolitan cities. While The Urbanization fact is constituted unreliable in developing countries, by the way of this process squatting concept comes together. If the results of this problem taken into consideration with causes of the problem, it is so big mistake to say that squatting is only surviving and dwelling issue. This problem, which arises due to rapidly urbanization of the physical spaces, is an improvement and industrialization issue related with speed and formation of urbanization which appears because of alteration in the social and economic structure of the society, and the differences constituted in this structure. Turkey is a developing country and consequently urbanization form is different from the Westerner developed countries. In Turkey, urbanization is not directly connected with industrialization and can not accelerate the developing of Turkey. Throughout this alteration and developing process, considering the religious life's of human and society separately from this process is unacceptable. An investigation is done over the people placed in the two squatter ward in Kayseri City, which demonstrated a big develop and alteration in last 20 years. Owing to this we try to determine the regional belief, relation to religious worship, religious opinion and attitude, and the other religious social events in the daily life of squatting people
