Dr. Yeşim Gül Salman Ağustos 2004, 64 sayfa Bu tezde a-D-galaktozun trikloroetiliden asetalinin hazırlanışı, metillenmesi, periyodat oksidasyonu ve nitrik asit oksidasyon reaksiyonları incelenmiştir. Pentadialdoz türevinin nitrik asit oksidasyonuyla elde edilen a-L-arabinouronik asit, potasyum tersiyer butoksitle reaksiyona sokulmuştur. Ayrıca arabinokloralozun mono tosil türevi ve tosil grubunun yer değiştirmesiyle arabinokloralozun mono azit türevi hazırlanmıştır. a-L-arabino pentadialdoz' dan oksim sentezlenmiş ve oksimin lityumalümmyumhidrür, sodyumborhidrür ve sodyumsiyanoborhidrürle indirgenme reaksiyonlan incelenmiştir.

vn ABSTRACT OXIDATIONS OF CHLORALOSE DERIVATIVES AND ATTEMPTED RING CLOSURE REACTIONS ERDEM, Özge Master of Science Thesis, Chemistry Department Supervisor: Assist. Prof. Dr. Yeşim Gül Salman August 2004,64 pages In this thesis, preparation of the trichloroethylidene acetal of a-D- galactose, it's methylation, periodate oxidation and nitric acid oxidation reactions were studied. a-L-arabinouronic acid which was obtained by the nitric acid oxidation of pentadialdose derivative was reacted with potassium tert-butoxide. On the other hand mono tosyl derivative of arabino chloralose and mono azide derivative of arabinochloralose by substitution of the tosyl group were prepared. Oxime was synthesized from a-L-arabino pentadialdose. The reduction of oxime with lithium aluminum hydride, sodium borohydride and sodium cyano borohydride were studied.
