Özet
Bu çalışma, HÜ Beytepe Kampusu Sağlık Merkezi' nde cinsel/üreme sağlığı (CS/ÜS) konularında öğrencilere klinik ve danışmanlık hizmeti sunmak üzere hizmet modelinin geliştirilmesi, uygulanması ve sağlık merkezinin hizmetlerine olan katkısının değerlendirilmesi amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Sağlık merkezinde“Gençlik Danışma Birimi”(GDB) oluşturularak 1 Nisan 2003 hizmet sunumuna başlamıştır. Sağlık merkezine başvuran öğrencilerin CS/ÜS konularında bilgi, görüş ve davranışlarının profilinin çıkarılması için uygulanan ön anket sonucunda, öğrencilerin %20- %40.0'ımn CS/ÜS'nı ilgilendiren pek çok konuda yetersiz veya yanlış bilgiye sahip olduğu belirlenmiştir. 1 Nisan 2003-30 Haziran 2004 tarihleri arasında öğrencilerin %57.0'sinin muayene olmak, %33.î'inin CS/ÜS konularında bilgi/danışmanlık ve %19.6'sının kontraseptif yöntem almak için GDB'ne başvurduğu belirlenmiştir. Muayene sonucu tanı alan öğrencilerin %33.1'inin CYBE ve %53.3'ünün diğer genital yol hastalıkları tanısı aldığı saptanmıştır. GDB'nin sağlık merkezine olan katkısı değerlendirildiğinde müdahale öncesi dönemde öğrenciler sağlık merkezini sadece muayene olmak için kullanırken, müdahale sonrası dönemde CS/ÜS konularında danışmanlık hizmeti ve kontraseptif yöntem almak için de sağlık merkezini kullandıkları belirlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak HÜ Beytepe Kampusu Öğrenci Sağlık Merkezi 'nde oluşturulan ve değerlendirmesi yapılan cinsel/üreme sağlığı hizmet modeli, sağlık merkezinin CS/ÜS konularında bilgilendirme-danışmanlık ve klinik hizmet almak amacıyla kullanımını artıran bir yaklaşımdır. Bu tür hizmet modeli eksik görülen yönleri de giderilerek sürdürülmelidir.

This study has been carried out with the objective to establish a model unit at the Health Center of HU Beytepe Campus, providing clinical and counseling services on sexual/reproductive health (S/RH) to meet the needs of the students and to evaluate the contribution of this unit to the health services provided at the health center. The“Youth Counselling Unit”(YCU) has been established and started to provide the services at April I1, 2003. According to the results of the survey carried out to reveal the profile of the S/RH knowledge, opinion, behaviour of the students having consulted to the health center before the project activities started: 20.0%- 40.0% of the students' knowledge on S/RH related issues was insufficient or incorrect. Accoording to the results of the evaluation of the reasons of consultations to the health center between April 1th, 2003 - June 30th, 2004; 57.0% of the students wanted to be examined, 33.1% to get information/counseling on S/RH related issues and 19.6% to receive a modern contraceptive method. 33.1% of the students diagnosed to have a STI and 53.3% other reproductive system disorders. According to the evaluation of the contribution of the YCU to the health center, in the period before the project activities, the students came to the health center only for examination. However in the period of the project activities they also used the health center for getting counseling services on S/RH related issues and receiving modem contraceptive methods. In this study the S/RH service model has been developed and implemented. According to the final evaluation this approach increased the utilization of the health center by the students for other purposes rather than only for examination. This type of“model services”should be continued after completing the needed modifications.
