Özet
ÖZET Bu çalışmada; görsel araç gereç kullanımı ile geleneksel öğretim yöntemi karşılaştınlarak,lise 2. sınıf öğrencilerinin“Amerika Ülkeleri”konusunu anlamalarına ve ülkeler coğrafyası dersindeki başarılarına etkisi incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın deneysel çalışması, 2003-2004 eğitim öğretim yılı bahar döneminde gerçekleştirilmiştir.Bu çalışmanın örneklemini, Sincan İbn-i Sina Lisesi'nde aynı öğretmenin iki ayrı sınıfındaki 80 lise 2. sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada“Amerika Ülkeleri”ünitesi kontrol gurubunda geleneksel öğretim yöntemiyle, deney gurubunda ise görsel araç-gereçler kullanılarak işlenmiştir.Bu araştırmada, ön test-son test kontrol gruptu desen uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri Amerika Ülkeleri başarı testi (AÜBT) ön test - son test olarak uygulanarak toplanmıştır. Veri analizi yapılırken SPSS 10,0 paket programı kullanılmış, P=0,05 anlamlılık düzeyi olarak kabul edilmiştir. Veri analizinde“İlişkili örneklemler t-testi”ve“İlişkisiz örneklemler T-testi”kullanılmıştır.İstatistiki olarak değerlendirilen sonuçlar şöyledir: 1. Görsel araç-gereç kullanılarak öğrenim gören deney grubu öğrencileri Amerika Ülkeleri ünitesini öğrenmede geleneksel öğretim yöntemiyle öğrenim gören kontrol grubu öğrencilerinden daha başarılı olmuşlardır11 2. Elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda; Ülkeler coğrafyası dersinde görsel araç-gereç kullanımının başarıyı arttırması bakımından geleneksel öğretim yöntemine göre daha etkili bir yöntem olduğu söylenebilir.

ABSTRACT In this study, it is investigated that the impacts of the method or instruction supported with the usage visual tools and media with traditional method of instruction on the understanding of the students who are in the second class of the high school about the subject of“ America Cauntries”an to their succes in regional geography lesson era studies. The fieldwork at this study was made in the sprinh therm at 2003 -2004 academic year. The sample of this study was constituted by the students who are at the different two classes in which the same geography teacher study the geography in Ankara İbn-i Sina High School. And the population of sample consisted of 80 students. In the fieldwork, while the subject of the cell division is applied to control group by the way of traditional method of instruction, the same subject is applied to experiment group by the way of method of visual tools and media. Also in this fieldwork, the pattern of pre-test and post-test were applied to control group.Then the data of the research has been collected by applying the“America Countries Success Test”In addition to these, it was used that independent samples T-test and paired samples T-test in order to test the hypotheses of this study. The data that gathered from the fieldwork is also analyzed by the using SPSS (Statistical Packet for the Social Sience), p = 0,05 in accepted as signifi okey level. Consequently, the ouycomes of the analyzing of the data that were tested statistically are these : 1 - The students who were tougt by usage of visual tools and media are succesful than the control group students in learning America Countries2 - According to the obtaired reswets, it can be said that the usage of visual tools and media teaching regional geography lesson in more students then traditional teaching fieldwork.
