Özet
Hobbes ve Spinoza'da Siyasal Alanın Temellendirilmesi, Yüksek Lisans Ankara, 2005 Bu çalışma, felsefe tarihi boyunca üzerinde düşünülegelen siyasal alanın, Hobbes ve Spinoza tarafından nasıl temellendirildiğini konu edinmektedir. 17. yüzyılda modern siyaset felsefesinde ortaya çıkan yeniliği, Hobbes ve Spinoza'nın siyasal alanı yeniden temellendirmelerini incelemektedir. Buradan da, Hobbes ve Spinoza'nın siyaset kuramlarının insanların birlikte yaşamak için ihtiyaç duydukları ortak bir siyasal birliği/alanı bilgisel bir etkinliğe uygun olarak temellendirip temellendirmediğine bakılmaktadır. Çalışmanın birinci bölümünde, Hobbes ve Spinoza'nın siyaset felsefelerindeki iki temel kavramın -doğal hukuk ve toplumsal sözleşme kavramlarının- tarihsel geçmişi ana hatlarıyla anlatılmakta ve bağlantılarıyla ortaya konmakta; böylece, klasik ve modern doğal hukuk kuramı arasındaki farkların, benzerliklerin gösterilmesiyle modern siyaset felsefesinin klasik siyaset felsefesinden hangi bakımlardan farklı olduğu kolayca görülebilecektir. Çalışmanın ikinci bölümünde, Hobbes'un siyaset felsefesi ile ilgili görüşleri incelenip siyasal alanı değerlendirirken ortaya çıkan kimi sorunlar gösterilmeye çalışılacaktır. Çalışmanın üçüncü bölümünde, Spinoza'nın siyaset felsefesiyle ilgili görüşleri incelenip siyasal alanı nasıl belirlediği ve hangi noktalarda Hobbes'u eleştirip ondan ayrıldığı gösterilecektir. Sonuç bölümünde ise, Spinoza'nın siyaset felsefesini temel alarak siyasal alanın ayırıcı ve uygun özelliğinin ne olduğu gösterilecektir. Böylece, Spinoza'nın siyaset felsefesinin siyasal alanın ideasına ilişkin doğru belirlemelerde bulunduğu, birlikte-yaşama esasına uygun olduğu sonucuna varılacaktır.

This study aims at designating how the political sphere, which has been thought on throughout the history of philosophy, was founded by Hobbes and Spinoza. It examines the innovation having emerged in the modern philosophy of politics in the 17th century, that is, the re-foundation of the political sphere by Hobbes and Spinoza. As a forthcoming step, it is taken under consideration whether Hobbes and Spinoza founded the common political union/sphere, needed by political foundations to make people live together, appropriately to an epistemological activity. In the first part of the study, the two basic concepts in Hobbes' and Spinoza's philosophy of politics -concepts of natural law and social contract- have been examined within the general features of their history including the layout of their connections. Thus, the aspects in which the modern philosophy of politics differs from classical philosophy of politics are going to become obvious by showing the differences and the similarities between the concepts of natural law and social contracts. In the second part of the study, Hobbes views dealing with philosophy of politics are to be examined and some problems emerging in his evaluation of the political sphere are aimed to be shown. In the third part of the study, Spinoza's views about the philosophy of politics are to be analyzed and it is made clear how he defines the political sphere and in what points lie criticizes distinguishes himself from Hobbes. In the conclusive part, what the distinctive and appropriate quality of the political sphere is, is to be pointed out by taking Spinoza's philosophy of politics as a basis. Thus, the conclusion that the definitions, made by Spinoza's philosophy of politics, concerningIV the idea of political sphere are correct and that they are appropriate to the living- together principle is to be reached.
