Vİİİ ÖZET İlköğretim 6. Sınıf Öğrencilerinin“İç Salgı Sistemi ve Sinir Sitemi”Konularındaki Kavram Yanılgılarının Kavramsal Değişim Stratejisi İle Giderilmesi Gülcihan DALKIRAN Bu çalışmanın amacı ' İç Salgı Sistemi ve Sinir Sistemi9 konularında öğrencilerin sahip olduğu kavram yanılgılarını belirlemek ve bu yanılgıların yapılandırmacılığa dayanan kavramsal değişim stratejisi ile giderilmesini araştırmaktır. Fen öğretiminde bilgilerin yapılandırılması ve anlamlı öğrenmenin sağlanması önemli bir faktördür. Bu nedenle öğrencilerin konu ile ilgili kavram yanılgılarının belirlenmesi ve giderilmesi gerekmektedir. Çalışmada 'Vücudumuzda Neler Var? Çevremizi Nasıl Algılıyoruz?' ünitesinde yer alan ' İç Salgı Sistemi ve Sinir Sistemi' konulan ele alınmıştır. Öncelikle kavram yanılgılarını belirlemek amacıyla 14 fen bilgisi öğretmeni ve 18 yedinci sınıf Öğrencisi ile görüşmeler yapılmış ve sınav kağıtları incelenmiştir. Elde edilen verilere ve alanyazın taramalarına göre, bir kavram testi hazırlanmıştır. Bu test, uygulama öncesi ön test, uygulama sonrası son test ve uygulama bitiminden 45 gün sonra hatırlama testi olarak uygulanmıştır. Deneysel işlemin sonunda açık uçlu sorular da sorulmuştur. Öğrencilerin fen bilgisi dersine olan tutumlarını ölçmek amacıyla ise deney öncesi tutum ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Ayrıca uygulama sonrası 18 öğrenciyle görüşmeler yapılmış ve kavram yanılgılarının giderilme düzeyi araştırılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklem grubunu Narlıdere' de bulunan 3 ilköğretim okulundaki 116 6. smıf öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Kontrol grubunda dersler geleneksel öğretim yöntemlerine göre işlenirken, deney grubundaki öğrenciler geleneksel öğretimin yanında kavramsal değişim metinleri ve kavram haritaları ile çalışmıştır. Çalışmalar sonucunda, deney grubundaki öğrencilerin kavram yanılgılarını gidermede kontrol grubuna göre daha başarılı olduğu görülmüştür.

IX ABSTRACT The Removal of Sixth Grade Students' Misconceptions Related To Endocrine System and Nervous System Subjects Through Conceptual Change Strategy Gülcihan DALKIRAN The purposes of the this study were to identify the misconceptions of the Endocrine System and Nerveous System subjects and to investigate the effects of the conceptual change strategy which is based on constructivism on remediation of misconceptions related to these subjects. Construction of knowledge and meaningful learning is provided in science is very important factor. For this reason, the students' misconceptions should be identify and remove. In this study, the subjects, called 'Endocrine System and Nervous System' which takes place in the unit of 'What are in our body? How we perceive our environment?' have been chosen. In order to identify the students' misconceptions on subjects concepts, 14 science teachers and 18 seventh grade students were interviewed and exam papers were analysed. A concept test has been developed according to these data and literature. This test was applied at the beginning, at the end of the treatment, and 45 days after the treatment. At the end of the treatment, also open-ended questions were asked. Apart from these, an attitude scale was applied to find out attitudes of the students toward science. At the end of the treatment, 18 sixth grade students were interviewed. This research was applied to 116 students from 3 elementary schools in Narhdere. Students in the control groups were taught with traditional instruction whereas the students in experimental groups were taught with traditional instruction and they worked with conceptual change texts and concept maps. At the end of this study, students in the experimental groups became more successful than students in the control groups on removal misconceptions.
