Özlem PARLAK BİÇER GAZİ UNIVERSITY INSTUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY July 2005 ABSTRACT In Turkey, consfruction sector effects other sectors and helps their development Researches on construction sector will also support the related sectors. There is no integrity for Research&Development on construction production in Turkey. Research&Development will be effective on construction sector because of the economic and social results. The aim of this thesis is to get solutions for problems by Research&Development studies on construction sector. This thesis examines the general and organizational Research&Development studies in Turkey and also, the Research&Development studies in world, specially in economicly developed countries, were examined. The position of Research&Development on construction production and construction organizations and the views of organizations in Turkey are searched and evaluated. The construction production conditions in Turkey and organizations for Research&Development for construction in world were taken into consideration in this thesis and we determined the set up of central and organizational Research&Development conditions in Turkey. Bu alanda yapılacak çalışmalar ile ülkede yapı sektörüne bağlı diğer sektörlerde de olumlu kazanımlar olacaktır. Türkiye'de yapı üretiminde Araştırma-Geliştirme konusunda bütüncül bir yaklaşım yoktur. Yapı sektörü ekonomik ve sosyal sonuçlar açısından Araştırma-Geliştirmenin etkin olacağı sektördür. Tezde, yapı üretiminde gerçekleştirilecek Araştırma-Geliştirme çalışmalarının sektördeki problemlere çözüm getirmesi hedeflenmiştir. Tezde, Türkiye'de yapı üretiminde genel ve organizasyonel düzeyde Araştırma-Geliştirme kurgusu irdelenmiştir. Bu kurgunun gerçekleştirilmesinde yapı Araştırma-Geliştirmesinin dünyadaki, özellikle gelişmiş ülkelerdeki, mevcut durumu incelenmiştir. Türkiye'de de yapı üretiminde ve yapım organizasyonlarında Araştırma- Geliştirmenin durumu ve organizasyonların konuya bakış açılan araştırılarak değerlendirilmiştir.
