A number of seals and seal impressions dated the first quar ter of second millennium B.C., were found in Kültepe, whose the capital city of Assyrian Trade Colonies in Anatolia. They are in different styles; Akkadian, Third Dynasty of Ur, Isin-Larsa, Old Babylonian, Old Assyrian, Old Syrian and Anatolian. The largest groups of impressions are in Old Assyrian and Anatolian styles. This thesis has taken Old Assyrian stye and depended on publis hed and especially unpublished material that found at Kültepe and the other contemporary Anatolian and Mesopotamian cities. All seals and impressions in Old Assyrian style, has catalo gued and drawn. Drawings have completed with different impress - ions of some seals. It has worked to find that the owners of seals. Owners of seals have written in catalogue. In this thesis, Old Assyrian Glyptic were brought up development in levels of Kaneş-Karum. Figures were compared with related other Mesopotamian styles. Old Asyrian Glyptic have been differentiated into two levels (II and lb) at Kült epe. According to the development of the Old Assyrian Style, there are two different phases in the Level II. Early phase of Old Assyrian Glyptic has adopted style of Third Dynayty of Ur Period. But Assyrian seal cutters have developed own style and created a lot of new subjects and figures at the end of the Third Dynasty of Ur Period. Impressions on an envelope that found at Tell Harmal, reign of Sumuabum (about reign of Erishum I), have proved to begin this phase in begining of Level II. In the second phase of Level II material of the Old Assyrian Glyptic, adopts several iconographical types from Anatolian art, and seals were finely cutted. In Level of lb, it occurs seals that known from the Level II and in addition to a new group seals. New group seals were called“Provincial Babylonian”that were found especially Mesopotamia, because of Assyrian seal cutters copies Old Babylonian seals. Thus seals of Shamshi-Adad I., his officials and city of Assur were cutted also in Old Babylonian Style. There is another group seals which called“Shematic Assyri an”is not development of Old Assyrian Glyptic.
