Özet
Bergson, felsefesinde süre kavramını ele alıp bunu açıklamaya çalışmıştır.Bergson'un bütün düşüncesinin temelinde süre vardır.Bergson, diğer zaman anlayışlarından farklı olarak ölçülemeyen, sayılarlaifade edilemeyen, yaşantı sonucu olan zaman anlayışını ortaya koyar. O biliminortaya koyduğu mekâniksel ve statik zaman anlayışını kabul etmez. Gerçek zamanşuurun yaşantısı sonucunda ortaya çıkan süre'dir. Yaşanan zaman şuur hallerimizindaimi oluş ve akışıdır. Bergson zamanı homojen ve heterojen zaman olarak ikiyeayırır. Homojen zaman bilimin icat ettiği saatle ölçülen, sayılarla ifade edilen zamaniken heterojen zaman yaşantılarımızın, deneyimlerimizin sonunda ortaya çıkanzamandır; bu ise süre'dir. Gerçek süre'ye sahip tek varlık bizim bilincimizdir.Bilincimiz ise süre'ye sezgi ile ulaşır. Bergson sezginin bize gerçekliğin kendisiniverdiğini söyler. Biz süre'yi sezgi aracılığı ile kavrarız. Çünkü sezgi gerçekliğe nüfuzeden, nesnelerle doğrudan aracısız temas kuran bilgi türüdür. Bergson felsefesin desezgi bir düşünce yöntemidir. Gerçek olanı mutlak olanı elde etme yoludur. Sezgininbize gösterdiği tek gerçeklikte süre'dir.

Bergson in his philosophy has worked on and tried to explain the concept ofDuration. Duration constitutes the fundamental of whole Bergsonian thought.Bergson shapes his understanding of philosophy on Duration.Bergson, different from other perspectives on time, claims an unmeasurable,numberless understanding of time based on individual experience. He rejects themechanical and static point of view proposed by science. Real time is the durationthat emerges as a result of consciousness that is lived and experienced. The timethat is lived is the constant flux and becoming of our conscious states. Bergsonmakes a distinguishment between homogeneous and heterogeneous time.Homogeneous time is what science invented and can be expressed in numbers ormeasured by a clock while heterogeneous time is what emerges as an outcome ofour lives, experiences; This is Duration. The only entity which possesses realduration is our consciousness. Our consciousness, on the other hand, reachesduration through Intuition. Bergson claims that Intuition gives us reality itself. We tendto embrace Duration via Intuition because Intuition is a form of knowledge thatpenetrates into reality and comes into contact with objects directly without a mediator.In Bergsonian philosophy, Intuition is a method of thinking. It is a way to obtain whatis true, what is absolute. The only reality which Intuition shows us is Duration. Wetend to comprehend pure Duration better with Intuition.
