Özet
ÖZETORTA ÖĞRET M KURUMLARINDA GÖREVL COĞRAFYAÖĞRETMENLER N Ş TATM NLERBu araştırmada, amacımız Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı'na bağlı Orta ÖğretimKurumlarında çalışan coğrafya öğretmenlerin iş tatminleri seviyesini belirlemektir. Bunedenle, liselerde görev yapan bu coğrafya öğretmenlerin cinsiyet, medeni hal, yaş, iştecrübesi, mesleğin bireyin kendi kararı ile seçilip seçilmediği, aylık net gelir durumlarıaraştırıldı. Giriş bölümünde , araştırmanın konusu hakkında bir önsöz verilmiştir. Bubölümde, problemin özelliği açıklanmıştır. Birinci bölümde, konunun teorik açıklamasıbulunmaktadır. kinci bölümde, tez çalışmaları, takip edilen metod ve teknikler vebulgular verilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde, sonuçlar ve öneriler yer almaktadır. Bu çalışmaiçin, ölçüt iki bölümden oluşuyor. Şöyle ki, Minnesota Memnuniyet Anketi ve KişiselBilgi Formu kullanıldı. stanbul'da 18 okuldan 46 öğretmen araştırmaya katıldı.Araştırmanın istatistiki analizinde, SPSS programı kullanıldı ve ikili gruplararasındaki anlamlı farklılığı belirlemek için t-test, çoklu gruplar için ise karşıtlıkanalizlerine başvuruldu. Ayrıca, bu çalışmada konunun teorik temeli, meslekimemnuniyet üzerinde yapılan çalışmalar, konu hakkındaki kavramlar, meslekmemnuniyetinin ve memnuniyetsizliğinin etkileri ve motivasyon teorilerine de yerverilmiştir.Bu çalışmada, öğretmenlerin çalıştıkları okullardaki memnuniyet seviyesinibelirleme, nereden hoşnutsuzluğa kapıldıkları, sosyal kimlikleri ve meslekimemnuniyetleri arasındaki ilişki konuları denenmiştir. Çalışmanın diğer bir amacı ise,ulaşılan sonuçları göz önüne alarak, eğitsel yöneticiler personeli için daha tutarlı birçalışma ortamı hazırlayabilmek, çalıştıkları kurumların amaçlarını ve değerlerinianlamalarını sağlayabilmek ve onları yüksek seviyede motive etmek ve böylece daha iyibir performans elde etmektir.Temmuz 2006 Cafer DUMANABSTRACTJOB SAT SFACTION OF GEOGRAPHY TEACHERS EMPLOYED AT HIGHSTATE SCHOOLSin this research, our purpose is to determine the level of job satisfaction of thegeography teachers working at high schools controlled by National EducationMinistry. Introduction, a foreword is given on the subject of theresearch. in this part, the nature of the problem is explained. in the first part, thetheoretical explanation of the subject is stated. in the second part. thesis studies, themethods and the techniques which were followed and findings are given. in the thirdpart, results and suggestions are stated. For this research, a scale composed of twoparts. namely Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire and Personal Information Form,was used and 46 teachers from 18 schools in istanbul participated the research. in thestatistical analysis of the research, SPSS program vvas used and for determining themeaningful differences between binary groups. t- test; for multiple groups, varianceanalysis was applied. Besides that, in the research, the theoretical basis of the subject,researches made on occupational satisfaction, concepts about the subject, the effects ofjob satisfaction ör dissatisfaction and motivational theories are also given.in this research, it was attempted to determine the amount of satisfaction thatthe teachers get from the schools they work at; from what they feel dissatisfaction; therelation between their social identities and occupational satisfaction. Another aim ofthe research is that, by considering the results reached, educational directors canprepare more convenient working medium for their staff and make them understandthe aims and values of the institutions they work for, and make them highly motivatedand therefore having a berter performance.July, 2006 Cafer DUMAN
