Prof. Leman B LG NAlthough most of the firms today are family-owned business enterprises, they donot last long. Characteristic features of family- owned business enterprises influence themotivation, performance, job satisfaction, organization commitment of employees whoare family members or not. This fact has a negative impact on development of thosefirms. There is a lot of work to examine the issue of family-owned business enterprisesand organizational commitment with its different aspects. Results of those studiesindicate that the characteristic features of family-owned enterprises have importanteffects on employees. Beside that, there is a common result reached in most studies thatorganizational commitment influences firm growth and development. Then, it may beuseful for enterpreneurs who want to establish or who are already the owners of family-owned business enterprises.The aim of the present study is to examine the relationships between managerial,financial,and organizational features of family-owned business enterprises. Theinfluences of demographic, organizational and psychological factors on organizationalcommitment of employees are examined. Findings of the study indicate a significantrelationship between the employees' organizational justice perceptions together withorganizational commitment and carreer opportunities, wish to go on working at thecompany and respect shown to employees. Besides these, it is considered thatorganizational justice perceptions of employees may effect organizational trust.
