Özet

Bu arastırma ile ilköğretim öğretmenlerinin sınıfta karsılastıkları istenmeyen öğrenci davranısları ile bas etme yöntemlerini belirlemek ve bu yöntemleri kullanma sürecinde öğretmenlerin öğrencilere yönelik siddet içeren davranısların kullanılıp kullanmadığını ortaya koymak amaçlanmıstır. Arastırmanın çalısma grubunu, Niğde ?l Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğüne bağlı bulunan merkez, ilçe, kasaba ve köy okullarında görev yapan 380 öğretmen olusturmustur. Arastırma yöntemi olarak, Betimsel Yöntemlerden ?Okul Survey? yöntemi kullanılmıstır. Arastırma sonucunda asağıdaki bulgular elde edilmistir; Öğretmenlerin istenmeyen davranıslara karsı en çok kullandıkları yöntemler ; öğrenciyi dersten çıkarma, öğrenciyi teneffüse çıkarmama, sorduğu sorulara cevap vermeme, öğrenciyi tahtada bekletme, fiziksel ceza verme, sınıfta basarılı olan öğrenci ile kıyaslama, söz hakkı vermeme, öğrenciye fazla ödev verme, sınıfta yokmus gibi davranma, davranısın yanlıs olduğunu anlatmadır. Öğretmenlerin istenmeyen davranıslara karsı en az kullandıkları yöntemler; öğrenciyi sevdiği seylerden ve eğlenceli etkinliklerden mahrum bırakma, görmezden gelme, derste değisiklik yapma, dokunarak uyarma, ceza alınacak davranısları önceden belirleme, rehberlik servisi ile görüsme, okul idaresi ile görüsme, aile ile görüsme, yerini değistirme, öğrenci ile ders dısında konusmadır. ii ?stenmeyen davranıslarla bas etme sürecinde; bayan öğretmenlerin erkek öğretmenlere göre daha olumu ve tutarlı davranıslar sergilediği ortaya çıkmıstır. ?stenmeyen davranıslarla bas etme sürecinde; Fen Bilimleri öğretmenlerinin daha olumsuz ve tutarsız davranıslar ortaya koyduğu sonucuna ulasılmıstır. Sosyal Bilimler öğretmenlerinin diğer branstaki öğretmenlere göre daha olumlu ve tutarlı davranıslar sergilediği sonucuna ulasılmıstır. ?stenmeyen davranıslarla bas etme sürecinde ; en olumlu davranıs sergileyen öğretmenler 11?20 yıl arası çalısan öğretmenler olduğu görülmüstür. ?stenmeyen davranıslarla bas etme sürecinde en az olumlu davranıs sergileyenler ise 1?5 yıl arası çalısan öğretmenlerdir. Bu süreçte en tutarsız davranıslar gösteren 1?5 yıl arası çalısan öğretmenler, en tutarlı davranıs gösterenler ise 11?20 yıl arası çalısan öğretmenlerdir. ?stenmeyen davranıslarla bas etme sürecinde evli öğretmenler bekâr öğretmenlere göre daha olumlu ve tutarlı davranıslar sergilemektedir. ?stenmeyen davranıslarla bas etme sürecinde sosyo-ekonomik düzeyi düsük olan öğretmenler daha olumlu ve tutarlı davranıslar sergilemektedir, sosyo-ekonomik düzeyi yükseldikçe öğretmenlerin davranısları daha olumsuz olmakta ve tutarsızlasmaktadır. ?stenmeyen davranıslarla bas etme sürecinde; eğitim fakültesi ve diğer okullardan mezun olan öğretmenlerin fen edebiyat fakültelerinden mezun olan öğretmenlere göre daha olumlu ve tutarlı oldukları görülmektedir. With this study, it is aimed to determine the methods used by primary school teachers to cope with unwanted students? behaviours that they face in the classrooms and to find out whether they use treatments including violance during the usage period of these methods. The study group of the research includes 380 teachers working in center, district, borough and village schools that are officaly bounded to Niğde City National Educational Directorate. As research method, ?School Survey? as a Descriptional Methods was used. At the end of the research the following results were found; The most frequently used methods by teachers against unwanted behaviours are; getting students out of the classroom, not getting out of students to breaks, not giving answers to his/her questions, waiting students in front of the classroom, giving physical punisment, comparing them with succesfull students, not giving them the right to speak, giving them extra homework, ignoring them as if they were not in the classroom, explaining that the behaviour is wrong. The least frequently used methods by teachers against unwanted behaviours are; depriving students of things that they are happy with and of entertaining activities, ignoring them, making changes in lessons, warning with touches, pre-determining the behaviours that are likely to be punished, meeting with guidance service, meeting with iv school administration, meeting with the family, changing the sitting position, talking with students out of the classroom. During the period of coping with unwanted behaviours, it was found that female teachers showed more positive and consistent behaviours than male teachers. During the period of coping with unwanted behaviours; it was found that Physical Sciences teachers showed more negative and inconsistent behaviours. It was concluded that Social Sciences teachers showed more positive and consistent behaviours than teachers in other branches. During the period of coping with unwanted behaviours; it was showen that the teachers showing the most positive behaviours are the ones that have been working for 11-20 years. During the period of coping with unwanted behaviours, the teachers showing the least positive behaviours are the ones that have been working for 1-5 years. During this period, teachers showing the most inconsistent behaviours are the ones that have been working for 1-5 years, teachers showing the most consistent behaviours are the ones that have been working for 11-20 years. During the period of coping with unwanted behaviours; it was found that married teachers showed more positive and consistent behaviours than single teachers. During the period of coping with unwanted behaviours; it was found that teachers whose social-economic level is high showed more positive and consistent behaviours, and with increasing social-economic level, the behaviours of the teachers get more negative and inconsistent. During the period of coping with unwanted behaviours; it was found that teachers graduated from educational faculties and other schools showed more positive and consistent behaviours than teachers graduated from physical-literature faculties.
