Özet
Yapmıs oldugumuz bu çalısmada, Nigde'nin ilk Lisesi olan Nigde Lisesi'ninTarihi ele alınmıstır. Nigde Lisesi, 26 Eylül 1949 günü egitim ögretim hayatınabaslamıstır. Nigde Lisesi, Nigde Ortaokulunun devamı niteliginde açılmıs olup, ilketapta yeni bir Lise binasına gereksinim duyulmamıstır.Sınıflar bu yıllarda Lise IV, Lise V ve Lise VI seklinde isimlendirilmistir. 1949yılında açılısından 1967 yılında Ortaokul kısmı ile ayrılısına kadar ögrenci veögretmen kayıtları aynı defterlerde tutulmus, tüm çalısmalar beraber yapılmıs, yatılıögrenciler Ortaokuldan sonra aynı düzenle Liseye devam etmis ve aynı ögretmenlerdersleri okutmuslardır. Bu dönemde pansiyonun ögrencilerin kalmasına elverisliolmaması ve binanın darlıgı sorun olusturmus, bu konularla ilgili çalısmalaryapılmıstır. Yer darlıgı sebebiyle odunluk binasının sınıfa dönüstürülmesi, halenbüyüklerimiz tarafından net bir biçimde hatırlanan göçük olayının yasanmasınasebep olmus, Nigde Lisesi okul içinde bir ögrencisini kaybetmistir. 1959 yılındayapılan incelemeler sonucunda pansiyon binası da saglam bulunmadıgından, 1959yılında pansiyon Antalya'ya tasınmıs, ögrenciler tasdiknamelerini alarakAntalya'ya gitmek zorunda kalmıslar, Antalya Lisesi mezunu olmuslardır. 1963yılında okullarda yapılan genel incelemeler sonucunda Nigde Lisesi PansiyonBinası saglam bulunmayarak tekrar kapatılmıs, 1964-1965 ögretim yılında açılarakpansiyonlu egitime devam edilmistir.1967 yılında, yapılan ek binaya Nigde Ortaokulunun tasınması sonucundaNigde Lisesi müstakil bir Lise olarak egitim ögretim faaliyetine baslamıstır.Nigde Lisesi'nin müstakil pansiyon binası 1972-1973 ders yılında açılmıs,Nigde Lisesi bugünkü binasına ise 1977 yılının Ekim ayında tasınmıstır.Nigde Lisesi sadece Nigdeliler için degil, yatılı ögrencileri için de önemli biryere sahip olup, Nigde'ye ve çevresindeki il ve ilçelere de hizmet etmistir.Mezunları incelendiginde önemi daha net bir biçimde anlasılmaktadır.

In this work, history of Nigde High School, the first high school of Nigde, isexamined. Nigde High School opened in 26th September 1949. It was opened ascontinuation of Nigde Secondary School and it was not required another buildingfor the high school at first.In these years the calsses was named as class IV, class V, and calss VI. Fromits opening in 1949 to its seperating from the Secondary School in 1967,registrations of students and teachers were in the same record book, all of theactivities were done together, boarding students continued the high school in thesame order after the secondary school and the same teacher learnd the same lessons.In this term the problems of unsuitablity of the pansion for the students andinadequacy of the building were to be solved. Transformation of the woodshed intoa calssroom caused the event of cave-in which is remebered clearly by the oldstudents, and death of one student. After a resaerch made in 1959, the building ofthe pansion was not found well- built and the pansion was movetd to Antalya, thestudents had to go to Antalya and they graduated from Antalya High School. In1963 as the result of another research made among the schools, Pansion Building ofNigde High School was not found well- built and closed again. In the term of 1964-1965 it was opened.In 1967 when Nigde Secondary School was moved to a supplement buildingNigde High School started edecation as a dethaced High School.Detached pansion building of Nigde High School waas opened in the term of1972-1973 and Nigde High School moved to its current building in the Septemberof 1977.Nigde High School attaches importance not only for people of Nigde but alsoits borarding students and cities around Nigde. When its graduates were taken intoaccount this importance is understood clearly.
