Özet
Günümüzde bilginin artan önemiyle is ve yasam süreçlerine etkileri; bilesenleri, dinamikleri ve özellikleriyle bilgi toplumu; bilgi bilimi ve temelini bu bilime dayandıran disiplinlerin mukayeseli degerlendirilmesi; bilgi yönetimi ve süreçleri bu çalısmanın ana temasını olusturmustur. Bilginin teknolojiden soyutlanmasının mümkün olmadıgı yeni ekonomide lokomotif gücün sanayi oldugu vurgusuyla, bu sektörde üniversite-sanayi isbirligi içerisinde; AR-GE ve inovasyon merkezli, emek yogun yapıdan bilgi yogun bir yapıya geçerek kapasite gelistirici ve rekabet gücünü artırıcı hedeflere yogunlasma zorunlulugu ortaya konulmustur. Örgütsel ögrenme ve yasam boyu ögrenme kavramlarının bu sürece katılmasıyla bilgi yönetiminin tüm süreçlerinden maksimum verim elde edilmesi, bu baglamda en önemli bilgi belge merkezlerinden olan kütüphane ve arsivlerin bilgi çagının gerekleri dogrultusunda yeniden yapılandırılmasının önemine dikkat çekilmistir. Bilgi yönetiminin algılanma ve uygulanmasıyla ilgili Çorlu ölçeginde kisisel ve kurumsal yaklasımlar saptanarak, bilgi ve belge merkezlerinin mevcut durumları ve sorunları irdelenmistir. Ülkemizin bilgi toplumuna dönüsüm sürecinde yasanan sorunlar, bu sorunların çözümüne yönelik olarak yapılan çalısmalar degerlendirilerek bu sürece katkı saglayabilecek etken ve bilesenler tespit edilmeye ve süreci hızlandıracak öneriler gelistirilmeye çalısılmıstır.

Nowadays, the increasing importance of knowledge and its effects to the processes of business and life, with its components, dynamics and characteristics; information society, epistemology and comparative appreciation of the disciplines based on it, knowledge management and its processes are the main subjects of this thesis. As it is impossible to abstract the knowledge from the technology in the new economy, with the stress of industry, being the impulsive force; it is put forward the necessity of cooperation between university and industry focusing on research, improvement and innovation, as passing through from labor based structure to knowledge based one, they should improve their capacity and competition. As a context of incorporating organizational learning and learning through the life to this process, to get maximum output from the knowledge management process, libraries as the most important knowledge centers, must be reconstructed in order to match the needs of information age. Perceiving and applying of information management in Çorlu scale, the personal and institutional approaches were determined and the situations and problems of information and document centers were also scrutinized. While the problems and solutions of Turkey?s transformation process to the information society were evaluated, at the same time it was tried to determine the factors and components to contribute to the process or put forward some suggestions to speed the process up.
