Özet
Bu tezde bitkilerden elde edilen bazı monoterpen ve uçucu yağların hücre çoğalması ve apoptozis üzerine olan etkileri memeli hücre kültürleri kullanılarak araştırılmıştır. Timol, Salvia fructicosa, Origanum onites ve Laurus nobilis uçucu yağlarının hücre çoğalması üzerindeki etkileri BrdU (5-bromo-2'-deoksi-uridin) deneyi ile A549 ve V79 379A hücreleri üzerinde araştırılmıştır. Salvia ructicosa, Origanum onites ve Laurus nobilis uçucu yağları ile timol doza ve zamana bağlı olarak hücre çoğalması üzerinde bir azalmaya neden olmuştur. Bazı monoterpen ve uçucu yağların apoptozis üzerine etkileri DAPI boyama ile fluoresan mikroskobunda araştırılmıştır. Test maddeleri A549 hücreleri üzerinde apoptotik etkiler göstermiştir.

In this thesis, effects of some monoterpens and some essential oils obtained from plants on cell proliferation and apoptosis were investigated with mammalian cell cultures. Effects of thymol and essential oils of Salvia fructicosa, Origanum onites and Laurus nobilis on cell proliferation was investigated with BrdU ((5-bromo-2?- deoxy-uridine) assay on A549 and V79 379A cell lines. Essential oils of Salvia fructicosa, Origanum onites and Laurus nobilis and thymol were caused a decrease of cell proliferation dose and time dependent. Effects of some monoterpens and essential oils on apoptosis were investigated with DAPI staining at fluorescence microscopy. Test substances were showed apoptotic effects on A549 cells.
