Özet
Sivas'ta Sehirsel Gelismenin? incelendiği bu tezde, sehrin geçmistengünümüze geçirdiği evreler incelenmistir. Söz konusu çalısmada faydalanabilecek, eserve dokümanlar incelenmis, gözlem ve analizlere genis ölçüde yer verilmistir. Sehrinfonksiyon sahaları, mahalleler ve gelisimleri açıklanmıs bunlarla ilgili sonuçlar ortayakonmustur. Geçmiste gelismis bir potansiyele sahip Sivas sehrinin günümüzde ise sahipolduğu durağan yapısını kırmaya çalısan bir görünümde olduğu belirtilmistir. Budurumda etkili olan faktörlerle sehri ayakta tutan ve daha da gerilemesini durdurannedenlerden bahsedilmistir. Sonuçta sehrin gelismesi içinde yer alan tüm faktörlerdikkate alınarak, ne derece gelisim gösterdiği, sorunları ve yapılan çalısmaların neolduğu belirtilerek günümüzde ne durumda olduğu ortaya konmustur.

In this dissertation which is titled by `The Urban Development Of Sivas? willhave been examined the improving stages of Sivas from past to nowadays. In this thesis,all official and usefull document have been examined. Also, observations and analysishave taken places widely. Functional areas of the city, quarters, their development andall results of this work have been presented. Sivas city which had a improved potentialin the past it is observed that the city tries to break its static structure in present days.Then, the factors in this fact, reasons of proceed Sivas and reasons of stopped the city?sfalling. In conclusion, all the factors that have taken place in the development of Sivas,the city? s all improving stages, its problems and the solutions about those problemshave been seemed. Also, current difficulties of the city have been defined.
